The invention relates to a sandwich sheet metal, in particular for producing components or vehicle body parts, comprising metallic cover sheets (1.1, 1.2) and at least one core layer (1.3) which is located between the cover sheets, is made of polymer and is integrally joined to the cover sheets (1.1, 1.2). The core layer (1.3) of the sandwich sheet metal has a fibrous substrate and a polyurethane matrix that surrounds the fibres of the substrate, the polyurethane matrix being formed from an aqueous solvent-free polyurethane dispersion, the fibres being present in the polymer matrix as shorter fibre pieces having a maximum fibre length of 0 mm. The fibres of the substrate are preferably composed of mineral fibres, in particular of ceramic fibres. The sandwich sheet metal (1) as per the invention is characterised by a cost-efficient, light core layer that increases the potential uses of the sandwich sheet metal. A method for producing such a sandwich sheet metal is also disclosed.

A method and article of constructing a three dimensional decorative object (10) from a foil sheet (18) and a fabric overlay (24) are the subject of the invention. The method includes shaping the foil sheet (18) into a three dimensional configuration, providing the foil sheet (18) with an adhesive coating (20) and adhering a fabric overlay (24) to the foil. The foil sheet (18) has a fabric overlay (24) adhered to one side and is utilized to form a three dimensional decorative object (10) by shaping the sheet (18) into the desired three dimensional object and then providing a decorative finish to the fabric side of the sheet (18). The method may include applying a layer of plaster (30) on top of the fabric overlay. An article useful in constructing a three dimensional object (10) is also encompassed by the invention. The article comprises a foil sheet (18) having a fabric overlay (24) adhered to one side. The article of the invention may also be presented in a kit which includes a foil sheet (18) having a fabric overlay (24) adhered to one side, a quantity of a pliable material sufficient to cover at least a portion of the fabric overlay and instructions for preparing the pliable material for application to the fabric.

In a further embodiment, an apertured laminate web is disclosed, having first and second extensible webs being joined at a plurality of discrete bond sites and a third material disposed between the first and second nonwoven webs. The first and second nonwoven webs are in fluid communication via the apertures and have distinct regions being differentiated by at least one property selected from the group consisting of basis weight, fiber orientation, thickness, and density.

The invention is directed to monoaxially drawn polyolefin multilayer film, tape or yarn of the AB or ABA type, having a stretch ratio of more than 12, having an E-modulus of at least 10GPa, substantially consisting of a central layer (B) of a polyolefin selected from polyethylene and polypropylene, and one or two other layers (A) of a polyolefin from the same class as the material of the central layer B, the DSC melting point of the material of the said other layers (A) being lower than the DSC melting point of the material of the said central layer (B), wherein the central layer (B) is between 50 and 99 wt.% of the material and the other layers (A) between 1 and 50 wt.%. The present invention further relates to a method of manufacturing such a tape, film or yarn.
