PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of generating carbon-carbon bond by Suzuki-Miyaura coupling of an aromatic boronate and an aromatic compound other than the aromatic boronate using a solid catalyst easily separable from products. SOLUTION: The method of generating carbon-carbon bond is characterised in that the aromatic boronate and the aromatic compound other than the aromatic boronate are coupled in wet state by Suzuki-Miyaura coupling in the presence of a palladium-carbon catalyst which is formed by immobilizing palladium on carbon particles having a specific surface area of 1,000 m 2 /g or larger.
