摘要: An endophyte or endophyte culture of N. lolii species is described that, in combination with a host grass does not cause typical symptoms of ryegrass toxicosis in grazing animals and also contains levels of compounds from the class of janthitrems epoxides to individually or in combination protect the host grass from pests or abiotic stresses or both. Uses and methods are also described to produce and characterize the combination as well as alternative uses for compounds from the class of janthitrem epoxide compounds.

摘要: A method of automatically configuring an Advanced Process Control (APC) system for a semiconductor manufacturing environment in which an auto-configuration script is generated for executing an auto-configuration program. The auto-configuration script activates default values for input to the auto-configuration program. The auto-configuration script is executed to generate an enabled parameter file output from the auto-configuration program. The enabled parameter file identifies parameters for statistical process control (SPC) chart generation.

摘要: Selected endophytes of the genus Neotyphodium (formerly Acremonium) form stable synthetic combinations with ryegrass hosts (preferably Lolium perenne). The combinations have improved resistance to invertebrate pests and drought effects as compared to ryegrass cultivars not containing such endophytes. The particular combinations of the invention have reduced toxicity to livestock as compared to naturally occurring endophyte/ryegrass combinations. The six preferred endophytes are AR1, AR12, AR22, AR50, AR52 and AR56.

摘要: Protective coatings and methods for forming them are disclosed wherein the coatings have increased abrasion, impact and scratch resistance as compared to known coatings. The coatings are made from environmentally friendly materials such as polylactic acid which can be derived from corn. The materials can be used to provide a protective coating on their substrate materials including especially wood for flooring and furniture. The coatings can have a hardness as measured on the Shore D Scale that can reach at least 75 to about 85 and enhanced resistance to abrasions, impact or scratches and can be used to coat flooring or furniture surfaces. The coatings can contain from about 1 to about 10 mass percent of triallyl isocyanurate with respect to polylactic acid.
