    摘要: An electronic door lock/unlatch control in which the latching mechanisms latch mechanically upon door closing and include electric motor driven unlatching mechanisms but no mechanical locking apparatus. Locking is accomplished electronically for each door by a flip-flop which enables or disables a power MOSFET connected in series with the unlatch motor and unlatch switch for the door and an electric power source. The flip-flop for each door also controls lock status indicating lights. A rear door unlatch disable switch is included additionally in series with the rear door unlatch switch to allow operator disabling of the rear doors.

    摘要: An electronic position sensor for use with a power operated vehicle accessory, such as a power liftgate. The position sensor includes an elongated resistive circuit that is mounted such that it is stationary and extends along the path of a track portion of the power operated accessory. The position sensor further includes a contact nub mounted to a link member that moves within the track portion such that the contact nub is slidingly biased against the elongated circuit. As the link member moves under the force of a motor-driven output gear, the contact nub slides along the surface of the resistive circuit, thereby affecting the overall resistance of the circuit. The position sensor uses the overall resistance to provide an electronic position signal to an ECU, wherein the signal is indicative of the absolute position of the power operated accessory. Accordingly, the electronic position sensor is capable of providing an electronic signal that enables the ECU to track the absolute position of the power operated accessory.

    摘要: An electropneumatic door lock control in which a pump activatable to generate a first or second pressure is controlled by a bistable pressure latch and communicated through passenger lock and auxiliary solenoids to pneumatic passenger lock and auxiliary actuators. Initiation means for first and second locking operations of a passenger door lock and a third locking operation of an auxiliary lock are interconnected with the bistable pressure latch, a bistable passenger latch and a bistable auxiliary latch and first and second timers to control the locking operations so that the first and second locking operations generate different pressures but activate the same timer for a duration of activation while the third locking operation generates one of the pressures but activates the other timer for a different duration of activation. With each activation of one of the initiation means the non-chosen latches and timer are deactivated. The auxiliary actuator may be a vehicle trunk lid release or fuel filler door release.

    摘要: A motor vehicle daytime running light circuit is disclosed in which the high beam headlights are energized at a reduced intensity in response to a predetermined vehicle operating condition including, for example, the headlight switch being in the off position. Power to the high beam headlights is supplied through a field-effect transistor that is modulated by an oscillator operating at a frequency sufficient to maintain the headlights at a constant intensity. Circuitry that senses the predetermined vehicle operating condition enables the oscillator and disables a high beam indicator.
