    Abstract: An apparatus of a user equipment (UE) includes processing circuitry, where to configure the UE for New Radio (NR) communications above a 52.6 GHz carrier frequency, the processing circuitry is to decode higher layer signaling, the higher layer signaling including a default slot duration for a transmission of control signaling. The control signaling includes a synchronization signal (SS) and a physical broadcast channel (PBCH) signaling. Synchronization information within a SS block is decoded. The SS block is received within a SS burst set and occupying a plurality of symbols within a slot having the default slot duration. A synchronization procedure is performed with a next generation Node-B (gNB) based on the synchronization information within the SS block and the PBCH signaling.

    Abstract: An apparatus of user equipment (UE) includes processing circuitry coupled to a memory, where to configure the UE for DMRS processing in an NR network, the processing circuitry is to generate a plurality of binary sequences of length L, the binary sequences being arranged according to a signal quality metric. A set of CGSs is generated using the binary sequences, based on minimizing cross-correlation between subsets of binary sequences of different lengths selected from the plurality of binary sequences. A CGS is selected from the set of CGSs as a DMRS, based on uplink PRB resource allocation. The DMRS is encoded for transmission, where the encoding includes BPSK modulation and discrete Fourier transformation (DFT) spreading of the DMRS.

    Abstract: Described are an eNB and a UE implementing a CSI-RS protocol. The eNB has an ordered set of antenna ports for a wireless communication channel with the UE, a first circuitry operable to compose CSI-RS configuration messages that assign to the UE various CSI-RS groups specifying one or more CSI-RS antenna ports, and a second circuitry to establish an ordered list of CSI-RS antenna ports. The UE has a set of antennas, a first circuitry operable to receive from the eNB various CSI-RS configuration messages assigning to it CSI-RS groups specifying one or more CSI-RS antenna ports, and a second circuitry operable to index CSI-RS antenna ports specified by the CSI-RS groups as an ordered list of CSI-RS antenna ports. The eNB may transmit CSI-RS to the configured UE, and the UE may perform channel state information measurements on the ordered list of CSI-RS antenna ports.
