Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing an edge profile for a narrow surface of a plate-shaped material, wherein an edge band extending in a longitudinal direction has a decoration, and wherein the edge band has a three-dimensional structure. Abstract: The present invention relates to improvements for agricultural storage bags, more specifically agricultural storage bags having improved shock, tear and puncture resistance, and enhanced stretching properties. The agricultural storage bag has an embossed pattern of a plurality of embossed regions that are comprised of a plurality of linear embosses. Each embossed region is separated by a continuous unembossed region. Further disclosed is a method for forming the improved agricultural storage bags from a collapsed tube formed by a blown film extrusion process. More than one set of intermeshing rollers may be used to apply the embossed pattern to the improved agricultural storage bags. Once the storage bags are embossed, a folding operation may fold the bags into a plurality of annular folds so that the bags may be used with an agricultural bagging machine.

Abstract: A manufacturing system includes a sensing system that provides high-resolution feedback for web guiding and tension control. The system may be especially useful for web material that is manufactured to include micro-replicated structures with micron size scale. A micro-replication station forms a pattern of micro-replicated lenses on a web material. The sensing system illuminates a measurement area on the web material and detects an angular distribution of light exiting a set of the micro-replicated lenses within the first measurement area. A control system that adjusts at least one process control parameter of the transport system based on the detected angular distribution.

Abstract: A system for preventing overflow of adhesive applied to a PET rolling film includes a drive unit, a detection unit, and a processing unit. The detection unit detects whether UV adhesive spread on a PET film flows out to limit lines on the PET film. The detection unit generates trigger signal upon detecting that the UV adhesive on the PET film flows to any of the limit lines, and then transmits the trigger signal to the processing unit. The processing unit controls the drive unit to accelerate a rotational speed of a guide roller for the PET film upon receiving the trigger signal from the detection unit, so as to accelerate a moving speed of the PET film.

Abstract: A microstructured article includes a nanovoided layer having opposing first and second major surfaces, the first major surface being microstructured to form prisms, lenses, or other features. The nanovoided layer includes a polymeric binder and a plurality of interconnected voids, and optionally a plurality of nanoparticles. A second layer, which may include a viscoelastic layer or a polymeric resin layer, is disposed on the first or second major surface. A related method includes disposing a coating solution onto a substrate. The coating solution includes a polymerizable material, a solvent, and optional nanoparticles. The method includes polymerizing the polymerizable material while the coating solution is in contact with a microreplication tool to form a microstructured layer. The method also includes removing solvent from the microstructured layer to form a nanovoided microstructured article.

Abstract: A long decorative material with an embossing in register with a pattern, a rolling method and a device therefor are described herein. The method comprises a feeding step of feeding a layered raw material of a long decorative material to be rolled into oppositely rolling rollers; and a rolling step of hot rolling an embossing on the transparent plastic layer. A feeding tension of a printed plastic layer is adjusted according to a longitudinal deviation between the embossing and the pattern in the rolling step. The device comprises a first feeding device, a second feeding device, the oppositely rolling rollers, a detecting device, and a tension controller disposed on the second feeding device. According to the long decorative material with the embossing in register with the pattern manufactured by the method, the embossing hot-rolled on the transparent plastic layer is in register with the pattern on the printed plastic layer. The method, device and the long decorative material with the embossing in register with the pattern processed thereby can implement the embossing on the transparent plastic layer in register with the pattern on the printed plastic layer and have high production efficiency, low cost and less energy consumption.
