摘要： A continuously variable transmission system includes a belt type continuously variable transmission unit which, in turn, is composed of a primary pulley and a secondary pulley wherein the torque transmitting direction is switched by torque circulation in changeover between forward and reverse travel. When a low mode is selected in a D range, a somewhat higher hydraulic pressure from a regulator valve is supplied, through a manual valve, to a secondary hydraulic servo, which moves one sheave of the secondary pulley, and a somewhat lower hydraulic pressure from a ratio control valve is supplied to a primary hydraulic servo which moves one sheave of the primary pulley. When the D range is switched to R range by the manual valve, the supplies of the above hydraulic pressures are reversed. With this arrangement, the relative axial forces on the pulleys are changed in switching between forward and reverse travel.

摘要： A hydraulic control system for an automatic transmission to establish a predetermined stage by applying a first frictional engagement element and releasing a second frictional engagement element, comprising: a first hydraulic servo for actuating the first frictional engagement element; a second hydraulic servo for actuating the second frictional engagement element; change-over means for switching the feed of an oil pressure to the first hydraulic servo; signal pressure generating means for generating a signal pressure; and a pressure regulator valve for regulating the pressure to be fed to the second hydraulic servo. The pressure regulator valve includes: a first valve member having a first pressure receiving area to be fed with the signal pressure in one direction; a second valve member arranged coaxially with the first valve member and adapted to come into abutment against the first valve member in the other direction, the second valve member having a second pressure receiving area to be fed with the oil pressure to the first hydraulic servo in the other direction, when the oil pressure is fed by the change-over means; and bias means so disposed at the side of the second valve member axially opposed to the first valve member as to bias the second valve member into abutment against the first valve member.

摘要： A continuously variable transmission system includes a belt type continuously variable transmission unit (CVT) wherein the direction of torque transmission is switched by torque circulation between a low mode and a high mode accompanied by a change in the axial forces on the pulleys of the CVT. In the Low mode of the D range, a comparatively high hydraulic pressure from a regulator valve is supplied to a Low clutch hydraulic servo via a low-high shifting valve and to a secondary hydraulic servo. In addition, a comparatively low hydraulic pressure from a ratio control valve is supplied to a primary hydraulic servo. These oil pressure feeds are reversed by the switching of the low-high shifting valve.

摘要： An automatic transmission comprising a torque converter and a change speed transmission having a plurality of planetary gearsets and friction elements is provided with an input shaft supported by a transmission case. On the input shaft is mounted a small-diameter first drum. In the first drum are mounted a first clutch having a clutch piston, friction plates, separate plates and a clutch hub. On the input shaft is further mounted a large diameter second drum, in which are disposed a second clutch having a clutch piston, friction plates, separate plates and a clutch hub.The friction plates and separate plates in the second drum are disposed radially outside on top of the friction plates and separate plates in the first drum.

摘要： A direct coupling clutch being assembled within a casing of a fluid coupling having an impeller mounted on the casing and a turbine supported on an output shaft of the fluid coupling. The direct coupling clutch includes a piston mounted slidably on a turbine hub in axial direction for engaging with and disengaging from a front cover of the casing and a damper device resiliently connecting the turbine hub and piston. The damper device includes an annular driven plate consisting of two guide plates secured concentrically with each other and having a first set and a second set of spaces arranged in double rows along two concentric circles, an annular drive plate having a set of openings arranged in a row along a first circle, a set of projections arranged in a row along a second circle, a first coil spring inserted in each of the first set of spaces and within each of the set of openings and a second coil spring inserted in each of the second set of spaces and between the projections. The first coil spring is continually compressed by the relative rotation of the drive and driven plates and the second coil spring having a greater spring constant than that of the first coil spring is compressed after the first coil spring has been compressed in a predetermined value.

摘要： A hydraulic power transmission device includes a toroid portion, a turbine hub, and a lock-up device. The toroid portion includes a pump impeller and a turbine runner. The turbine hub is engaged with an input shaft of a transmission and holds the turbine runner. The lock-up device is installed so that it engages and disengages freely and it mechanically transmits to the turbine hub rotation that is transmitted from a drive power source. The toroid portion and the lock-up device overlap in the axial direction. Because the toroid portion and the lock-up device overlap in the axial direction, the size of the hydraulic power transmission device in the axial direction can be reduced, and the hydraulic power transmission device can be made more compact.
