Several embodiments of marine outboard drives including devices for protecting the unit in the event of tilting up more than a predetermined extent. The protection devices slow the engine when the outboard drive is tilted up more than the predetermined amount. This may be done by interrupting the spark, retarding the spark advance or closing a throttle. The invention is disclosed in combination with either an outboard motor having an underwater inlet for cooling the engine or an outboard drive portion of an inboard-outboard drive having a stabilizer for holding the outboard drive during a portion of its trim adjusted movement.

Several embodiments of remote control operators for adjusting the trim of a pair of marine propulsion devices. Each control system is designed so as to permit selective trim adjustment of either of the propulsion devices independently of the other and regardless of its trim adjusted position or for permitting simultaneous adjustment of both of said propulsion devices. A number of different types of circuits are illustrated for accomplishing this result and the adjusted propulsion devices may comprise either an outboard motor, the outboard drive of an inboard/outboard drive or the screws of a twin screw inboard drive.

According to one embodiment, a method for making a correction map of a dose amount of EUV light used when exposing with the EUV light, includes estimating an exposure result based on an initial correction map of the dose amount and flare of the EUV light, determining a goodness of the exposure result, and correcting the initial correction map in the case where the exposure result is unacceptable. And, the correcting of the initial correction map, the estimating of the exposure result, and the determining of the goodness are repeated until the exposure result is good.

In the method, the underlayer is formed by sputtering deposition, including a low-gas-pressure deposited layer deposited at a low gas pressure during the deposition, and a high-gas-pressure deposited layer deposited at a high gas pressure during the deposition. The high-gas-pressure deposited layer is formed of a multilayer deposited by decreasing a deposition rate in a stepwise manner.
