    Abstract: A method of manufacturing a Printed Circuit Board (PCB) including an inkjet printing step wherein a radiation curable inkjet ink comprising at least one polymerizable compound and at least one photoinitiator is jetted and cured on a substrate, characterized in that the at least one photoinitiator has a chemical structure according to Formula I, wherein X represents a halogen; R1 is selected from the group consisting of a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, a substituted and unsubstituted alkenyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted alkynyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted aralkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group and a substituted or unsubstituted aryl or heteroaryl group; R2 and R3 are independently from each other selected from the group consisting of a hydrogen, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstitited alkoxy group, a substituted or unsubstituted aryloxy group and a halogen; R1 together with R2 and R2 together with R3 may represent the necessary atoms to form a five to eight membered ring.

    Abstract: A method of manufacturing a packaging for food, cosmetics, or pharma includes the steps of storing on a print validation server a packaging definition including an image intent part and a manufacturing intent part including characteristics of a packaging substrate, an inkjet printer, and a plurality of inkjet inks including one or more SML-ink components and/or at least 20 wt % based on the total weight of inkjet ink of a vinyl ether acrylate; forming a set of meta-data including a safety limit of the one or more extractable SML-ink components and/or the extractable vinyl ether acrylate determined from the inkjet ink coverage required for each colour separation; transmitting one or more files containing the set of colour separations and the set of meta-data to an inkjet print server; and inkjet printing the set of coloration separations on the packaging substrate in the inkjet printer according to the set of meta-data, wherein the SML-ink component is a compound of Section A or B in the Swiss legislation SR 817.023.21 of 23 Nov. 2011 (Status on 1 Apr. 2013).

    Abstract: The present invention relates to an image forming method and an image forming apparatus by an inkjet method using a gel ink, which minimize a gloss difference between an image-formed region and an image-less region, regardless of a type of a paper substrate used. The image forming method of the present invention is a method for forming an image on a paper substrate by using an inkjet ink that undergoes a temperature-induced sol-gel phase transition. The image forming method includes: a step of subjecting a paper substrate to a corona discharge treatment; a step of ejecting liquid droplets of inkjet ink and landing the droplets on a surface of the paper substrate subjected to the corona discharge treatment; and a step of irradiating the droplets of the inkjet ink landed on the paper substrate with an actinic light ray to cure the inkjet ink.
