摘要: A system for controlling energy consumption. The system may incorporate devices configured on a floor map, a monitor that detects energy consumption by each device, a heat map shown on the floor map, a processor, and a user interface having a display connected to the processor. The heat map may indicate energy consumption in various areas of the floor plan. The floor map with the heat map may be a screen on the display. The energy consumption by each of the devices from the monitor may be calculated by the processor in time that each device is active and in a power rating of the respective device. The energy consumption by each of the devices may be converted by the processor into cost. From a screen, a user may define a virtual and dynamic zone to optimize and control the energy consumption.

摘要: A system and method for regulating charge/discharge of a battery to stabilize a regional power grid includes a regulation control module that monitors a frequency regulation signal from the regional power grid and market conditions for obtaining power from the regional power grid. A machine learning module predicts from the frequency regulation signal and market conditions a future beneficial period when the battery may be exposed to the regional power grid to charge/discharge power in accordance with the frequency regulation signal to stabilize the regional power grid through participation in the regulation of the regional power grid. Another machine learning module calculates a regulation control signal that tracks the frequency regulation signal during the future beneficial period and outputs the regulation control signal to at least one battery control module that manages charging/discharging of the battery to selectively withdraw/apply power from/to the regional power grid during the future beneficial period.

摘要: It is possible by means of a system simulation device to extract a disturbance mode wherein multiple accident conditions are assumed and to determine control parameters, but when the number of accident conditions increases, a threshold value pertaining to a divergence constant deviates prior to an update period, with the result that an uncontrollable disturbance mode appears. In order to solve this problem, the present invention is a power system stabilization system for determining control parameters for a control device connected to a power system, the power system stabilization system equipped with: a disturbance mode prediction unit for predicting a disturbance mode of a power system on the basis of operation information and an assumed system configuration for the power system; a post-control parameter update period prediction unit for predicting an update period for a post-control parameter in post-control after a disturbance has occurred; a threshold value setting unit for setting a threshold value pertaining to a divergence constant on the basis of the disturbance mode and the update period for the post-control parameter; and a control parameter determination unit for determining a control parameter of the control device on the basis of the disturbance mode and the threshold value.

摘要: A method, apparatus, system and computer program is provided for controlling an electric power system, including implementation of a voltage control and conservation (VCC) system used to optimally control the independent voltage and capacitor banks using a linear optimization methodology to minimize the losses in the EEDCS and the EUS. An energy validation process system (EVP) is provided which is used to document the savings of the VCC and an EPP is used to optimize improvements to the EEDCS for continuously improving the energy losses in the EEDS. The EVP system measures the improvement in the EEDS a result of operating the VCC system in the “ON” state determining the level of energy conservation achieved by the VCC system. In addition the VCC system monitors pattern recognition events and compares them to the report-by-exception data to detect HVL events. If one is detected the VCC optimizes the capacity of the EEDS to respond to the HVL events by centering the piecewise linear solution maximizing the ability of the EDDS to absorb the HVL event.

摘要: An inductive power transfer system comprises a primary unit operable to generate an electromagnetic field and at least one secondary device, separable from the primary unit, and adapted to couple with the field when the secondary device is in proximity to the primary unit so that power can be received inductively by the secondary device from the primary unit without direct electrical conductive contacts therebetween. The system detects if there is a substantial difference between, on the one hand, a power drawn from the primary unit and, on the other hand, a power required by the secondary device or, if there is more than one secondary device, a combined power required by the secondary devices. Following such detection, the system restricts or stops the inductive power supply from the primary unit. Such a system can detect the presence of unwanted parasitic loads in the vicinity of the primary unit reliably.

摘要: An apparatus for controlling consumption of a resource by a facility includes devices, an occupancy determination system, and control nodes. The devices each consume a portion of the resource and perform a function. The occupancy determination system is disposed in a network operations center that is external to the facility and generates schedules which coordinate run times for the devices to control the consumption of the resource and adjusts the schedules based upon occupancy components and occupancy levels that are generated based on the consumption of the resource and outside temperature only. The control nodes are coupled to a corresponding one of the devices, and are coupled together via an energy management network that is operatively coupled to the NOC, The control nodes transmit sensor data and device status to the NOC for generation of the plurality of run time schedules, and where the control nodes execute selected ones of the run time schedules to cycle the devices on and off.
