Abstract:
An intelligent transmission element includes a first element formed in a strip shape and disposed with a slot therein; a second element disposed with a containing space for placing the first element, wherein the inner side of the containing space is disposed with a tank corresponding to the plurality of slots, the tank and the plurality of slots forms a loading path for disposing a plurality of rolling elements and a silencing element. The silencing element is placed between the plurality of rolling elements and contains a dye container for a dye. When the silencing element is damaged due to an external force, the dye inside the dye container of the silencing element would color the transmission element to let the user notice that the silencing element is damaged.
Abstract:
In one embodiment, network data exchanged between a client computer and a remote server computer are scanned for computer viruses at a first network security computer. The first network security computer creates connection information about the connection between the client computer and the server computer, and registers that connection information with a second network security computer that may receive network data transmitted in the connection. This allows the second network security computer to forward to the first network security computer network data transmitted in the connection even when the first and second network security computers are configured for asymmetric routing.
Abstract:
Database systems, methods and/or computer program products provide for multiple but exclusive relationships between tables in a relational database. The multiple but exclusive relationship may be enforced based on a type associated with a record in a relating table. The multiple but exclusive relationship may be a one-to-many or a many-to-many relationship. A foreign key value of a record in a relating table may be selectively associated with a specific one of a plurality of related tables based on at least one attribute of the record containing the foreign key in the relating table. In particular embodiments of the present invention, the foreign key values of a record in the relating table are selectively associated with one of the plurality of related tables by defining a foreign key of records of the relating table and defining a plurality of types of foreign key associations, each of the types corresponding to a respective one of the plurality of related tables. One of the related tables having a type corresponding to a type value associated with a record of the relating table is selected and a record in the selected related table identified based on a foreign key value of the foreign key of the record in the relating table.
Abstract:
A circuit structure includes a substrate; a patterned mask layer over the substrate, wherein the patterned mask layer includes a plurality of gaps; and a group-III group-V (III-V) compound semiconductor layer. The III-V compound semiconductor layer includes a first portion over the mask layer and second portions in the gaps, wherein the III-V compound semiconductor layer overlies a buffer/nucleation layer.
Abstract:
A system and method for manufacturing a light-generating device is described. A preferred embodiment comprises a plurality of LEDs formed on a substrate. Each LED preferably has spacers along the sidewalls of the LED, and a reflective surface is formed on the substrate between the LEDs. The reflective surface is preferably located lower than the active layer of the individual LEDs.
Abstract:
A semiconductor device having light-emitting diodes (LEDs) formed on a concave textured substrate is provided. A substrate is patterned and etched to form recesses. A separation layer is formed along the bottom of the recesses. An LED structure is formed along the sidewalls and, optionally, along the surface of the substrate between adjacent recesses. In these embodiments, the surface area of the LED structure is increased as compared to a planar surface. In another embodiment, the LED structure is formed within the recesses such that the bottom contact layer is non-conformal to the topology of the recesses. In these embodiments, the recesses in a silicon substrate result in a cubic structure in the bottom contact layer, such as an n-GaN layer, which has a non-polar characteristic and exhibits higher external quantum efficiency.
Abstract:
A light emitting diodes (LEDs) is presented. The LED includes a stress-alleviation layer on a substrate. Open regions and stress-alleviation layer regions are formed on the substrate. Epitaxial layers are disposed on the substrate, at least in the open regions therein, thereby forming an LED structure. The substrate is diced through at least a first portion of the stress-alleviation regions, thereby forming the plurality of LEDs.
Abstract:
MOSFETs having stacked metal gate electrodes and methods of making the same are provided. The MOSFET gate electrode includes a gate metal layer formed atop a high-k gate dielectric layer. The metal gate electrode is formed through a low oxygen content deposition process without charged-ion bombardment to the wafer substrate. Metal gate layer thus formed has low oxygen content and may prevent interfacial oxide layer regrowth. The process of forming the gate metal layer generally avoids plasma damage to the wafer substrate.
Abstract:
A data write/read auxiliary device and method for writing/reading data are provided. A data storage unit and a program storage unit are installed in the data write/read auxiliary device, wherein the program storage unit is for storing automatic execution program and protection program. When the data write/read auxiliary device is connected to a data processing device, the automatic execution program is executed for automatically executing programs stored in the program storage unit. The protection program is executed for executing an access process on data storage unit to judge whether driving a write/read head or not based on outcome of the access process when a file sharing software is executed for data downloading and uploading. Through the data storage unit as a buffer area of data before writing/reading data on a hard disk, the data write/read auxiliary device and method for writing/reading data can protect the hard disk.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a novel crystalline form of a Compound 3,4′,5-trihydroxy-stilbene-3-β-D-glucoside (polydatin) and a method of preparation and use thereof, and to a pharmaceutical composition containing crystalline form I of 3,4′,5-trihydroxy-stilbene-3-β-D-glucoside. Crystalline form I of 3,4′,5-trihydroxy-stilbene-3-β-D-glucoside of the present invention has a stable crystalline morphology, a definite melting point and a good chemical stability. Such a novel form of 3,4′,5-trihydroxy-stilbene-3-β-D-glucoside possesses the properties required for the preparation of solid formulations and is easily tabletable and readily formable when formulated, which allows for substantial decrease in raw materials costs, more facile operations in production and easier control over quality in industrial drug production, and moreover, better convenience in storage.
