Abstract: A method for manufacturing and a method for decolorizing dioctyl terephthalate are provided. The decolorizing dioctyl terephthalate includes: providing an unpurified dioctyl terephthalate; mixing the unpurified dioctyl terephthalate with a reducing agent and an adsorption medium to obtain a first decolorizing product; and mixing the first decolorizing product with a decolorizing adsorbent material to obtain a second decolorizing product. The method for manufacturing dioctyl terephthalate includes: a transesterification step, an alkaline washing and neutralization step, a redox step, a decolorization step and a stripping step; the decolorizing adsorbent material has an acid value between 0.1 and 2 mg KOH/g, a relative humidity between 2 and 10%, and a fineness between 80 and 100 cm2/g.

Abstract: A polyester film for being embossed with a laser-engraved pattern and a manufacturing method thereof are provided. The polyester film includes a substrate layer and at least one surface layer formed on the substrate layer. The surface layer serves as an easy-to-press embossed pattern layer, and is formed from a polyester-based copolymer. The polyester-based copolymer includes residues derived from a diacid component and residues derived from a diol component. The diacid component includes 85 to 95 mol % of terephthalic acid and 5 to 15 mol % of isophthalic acid. The diol component includes 35 to 74 mol % of ethylene glycol, 1 to 15 mol % of neopentyl glycol, and 25 to 50 mol % of 1,4-butanediol.

Abstract: A hydrogenation method for increasing the yield of cyclohexane-1,4-dicarboxylic acid diisooctyl ester is provided. The hydrogenation method uses a hydrogenating reaction tank, which is equipped with a hollow-shaft gas-introducing mixer having air-extracting, air-exhausting and mixing functions, to allow hydrogen gas to be uniformly dispersed in a reaction solution. A ruthenium-on-alumina (Ru/Al2O3) hydrogenation catalyst can be used for carrying out a hydrogenation reaction under gentle conditions. Therefore, the hydrogenation catalyst can be used in a reduced amount, the risk of side reaction(s) can be reduced, and the yield of cyclohexane-1,4-dicarboxylic acid diisooctyl ester can reach at least 99% with a cis isomer proportion of at least 85.0%. The hydrogenation method shows extremely high economic benefit.

Abstract: A method for enhancing reaction efficiency of a terephthalate plasticizer involves using a homogenizer to fine PTA to slurry having a particle size of 80-110 μm, and esterifying the PTA slurry with a C6-C10 alcohol in the presence of a titanium-based catalyst. The reactivity is enhanced by more than 37.5%, and the terephthalate plasticizer so synthetized is low-odor and has a purity of more than 99.5% as well as good physical properties such as acid value, color, and index of refraction.

Abstract: A process for producing 2-ethylhexanal involves performing reaction using a reaction tank equipped with a gas-introducing mixer having extracting, exhausting, and stirring functions in the presence of a palladium on carbon catalyst having a carbon carrier with lower impurity content and higher specific surface area for hydrogenation, and introducing hydrogen gas evenly into reaction liquid; resulted in that the process minimizes operational pressure for hydrogenation and increases a yield of 2-ethylhexanal at least up to 98.0%.

Abstract: A process for preparing PPE microspore dispersion includes steps of: dissolving a high-molecular polyphenylene ether in a first solvent at 45-110° C. to form a dissolution liquid; adding processing aids and well mixing the dissolution liquid into a dispersed phase; cooling the dissolution liquid to 42-80° C., and adding a second solvent to generate PPE microspores via PPE to wrap around the processing aids; cooling the dissolution liquid to 0-40° C. to obtain PPE microspore dispersions for use in application for impregnation processes performed below 40° C., thereby high-temperature impregnation equipment are no longer needed, and copper clad laminates made of using the PPE microspore dispersion enjoy excellent physical properties including high Tg, low Dk, low Df and high copper foil's peel strength.
