摘要： A method of making a nitride semiconductor substrate having the steps of providing a free-standing substrate that is of a nitride semiconductor and has one of a penetrating pit and a penetrating crack that penetrate from a top surface to a back surface of the free-standing substrate, attaching a metal to the penetrating pit or the penetrating crack, the metal being adapted to be nitrided, and nitriding the metal to form a nitride that seals the penetrating pit or the penetrating crack. A nitride semiconductor substrate has a free-standing substrate that is formed of a nitride semiconductor and has one of a penetrating pit and a penetrating crack that penetrate from a top surface to a back surface of the free-standing substrate, and a metal nitride that seals the penetrating pit or the penetrating crack. The metal nitride is formed of GaN, InN and AlN.

摘要： A choline salt crystal of (1S)-1,5-anhydro-1-[5-(azulen-2-ylmethyl)-2-hydroxyphenyl]-D-glucitol which shows an endothermic peak at 194 to 198° C. as measured by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC analysis) and shows main peaks at about 2θ (°) 5.58, 14.72, 16.80, 17.82, 21.02, and 22.46 as measured by X-ray powder diffraction. Thus, a crystal of an azulene compound can be produced which is in a single crystal form, has a constant quality, can be produced with good reproducibility, can be provided stably as a crystal of an drug substance for use in the preparation of a pharmaceutical and is excellent in storage stability.

The endoscope can be structurally separated into an insertion part and a proximal holding part continuously extending from the insertion part. The endoscope can include a light guide arranged from a distal end of the insertion part through the proximal holding part. The proximal holding part can be provided with a light guide joint section where an entrance end face of the light guide is fixed. The small-sized light source unit can be constructed and arranged to be removably connected with the light guide joint section. The small-sized light source unit can include a plurality of small-sized LEDs, a batter configured to power the plurality of LEDs, and a compounding optical system configured to compound light emitted by the plurality of small-sized LEDs.

摘要： An image processing apparatus controls to print a plurality of sequential still images, which can be observed as a flip moving image, on the basis of moving image data. The image processing apparatus provides a window which has a start point button, end point button, seek bar, and the like. The user designates a desired still image extraction range from the moving image data by operating the start and end point buttons. This window also provides a preview button. When the user clicks the preview button, a predetermined number of sequential still images are generated from the designated still image extraction range in the moving image. These sequential still images are displayed while being sequentially switched in the order they appear in the moving image data.
