    Abstract: A heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) module for a vehicle includes a base, a cover, and a clamp. The base is configured to define a post protruding from a wall of the base. The cover is configured to define a hole that cooperates with the post to couple the cover to the base to form a housing of the module. The base is further configured to define the clamp which is coupled to the wall by a hinge. The clamp is operable between an open position where the hole can be placed around the post and a closed position where the clamp retains the hole around the post.

    Abstract: A camshaft phaser includes an input member; an output member defining an advance chamber and a retard chamber with the input member; a valve spool moveable between an advance position and a retard position. The valve spool has a phasing volume and a venting volume defined therein such that the phasing volume is fluidly segregated from the venting volume. The valve spool also has a passage providing fluid communication between the phasing volume and the exterior of the valve spool. Oil is supplied to the advance chamber from the phasing volume through the passage in order to retard the timing of a camshaft and oil is supplied to the retard chamber from the phasing volume through the passage in order to advance the timing of the camshaft.

    Abstract: A method is presented for diagnosing a particulate matter sensing system, where the system includes a sensing element having two electrodes spaced from one another. The method determining at a first time during a cool-down event a first sensing element temperature and a resistance of the sensing element, and determining at a later second time during the cool-down event a second sensing element temperature and the resistance of the sensing element. The method further includes calculating a predicted sensing element resistance at the second sensing element temperature, based on the first sensing element temperature, the resistance of the sensing element determined at the first time, and a predetermined model of the resistance vs. temperature characteristics of the sensing element. A fault condition for the system may be indicated based on a comparison of the predicted sensing element resistance at the second sensing element temperature and a measured sensing element resistance.

The radar signal is characterized by a transmitted polarization of the radar signal. The transmitted polarization is influenced by a first transmit signal received at a first port of the microstrip patch and a second transmit signal received at a second port of the microstrip patch. The hybrid coupler is configured to orthogonally combine a first input signal and a second input signal to output the first transmit signal and the second transmit signal. The phase shifter is operable to vary the phase of the second input signal relative to the first input signal. As the gear turns in one direction, the cam plates are pulled toward one another in a guided straight line until they engage and lock around the gear.
