    摘要: A method and apparatus for the collection, transportation and analysis of gas samples which may be required in various scientific, environmental and natural resource contexts is provided. The apparatus comprises a sampling container assembly for sampling a fluid. The container assembly comprises a body defining a sampling chamber having a first end and a second end, a first valve assembly fluidly coupled with the first end and a reactant material positioned within the sampling chamber for reacting with the fluid. After collection of the sample in the sampling container assembly, hazardous fluids are converted to non-hazardous materials that can be transported without additional hazardous material restraints. Further, the flow through design of the sampling container assembly allows for the collection of gases such as H2S at low concentrations by flowing the gas over the reactant materials for longer periods of time.

    摘要: Relates to a collection/extraction container (1) for collecting solid forensic samples (2) and/or for extracting biological material from these solid forensic samples (2) and its use. The container (1) has a top opening (3) for the insertion of a solid forensic sample (2). The container (1) comprises a basket (7) and an essentially horizontal intermediate floor (8) for the retention of the solid forensic sample (2) during digestion/lysis and extraction, the intermediate floor (8) being permeable to fluids and dividing the inner chamber (5) into an upper sample space (9) and a lower fluid space (10). The container according to the invention is characterized in that is comprises an essentially vertical channel (11), which is accomplished to allow a pipetting needle (12) to be inserted through the sample space (9) and into the fluid space (10) in that the channel (11) has a top orifice (13) that is situated nearby a top opening (3) of the container (1) and in that the channel (11) penetrates the intermediate floor (8) in a bottom orifice (14), wherein the container (1) also comprises a partition wall (15) that at least partially surrounds the channel (11) and that separates the latter from the upper sample space (9).

    摘要: A method for determining pectin content in a plant sample includes: 1) adding an acidic alcohol solution to the plant sample, heating in a water bath and filtration; 2) soaking residue from step 1 with an acidic solution, heating in a water bath, a second filtration, bringing to volume after cooling and obtaining filtrate; 3) adding an acetic acid/sodium acetate buffer solution to residue of step 2, adding a pectinase solution, heating under vibration in a water bath, and a third filtration to obtain a filtrate; 4) adding an acetic acid/sodium acetate buffer solution and a pectinase solution to filtrate from step 2, heating the mixture under vibration in a water bath to obtain an enzymatic hydrolysate, adding filtrate obtained in step 3 to the enzymatic hydrolysate, bringing to volume, and obtaining a test solution; 5) drawing the test solution into a continuous flow analyzer to perform analysis.
