Abstract:
This invention discloses the DNA sequences coding for the Actinobacillus pleuropneumonia hemolysin(s). It further discloses a method of producing the A. pleuropneumoniae hemolysin(s) from recombinant cells. It also provides a method of using the hemolysin(s) antigen as a protective immunogen against porcine pleuropneumonia.

An improved derrick structure comprising a column for supporting the derrick structure, a bracket horizontally rotatably mounted on the column, a boom vertically pivoted on the bracket so that the boom is divided into a first boom portion and a second boom portion, a winch drivable to hoist a hook for engaging an article intended to be transported by the derrick structure, a first dolly drivable to move the hook along the first boom portion, a counterweight drivable to move along the second boom portion to effectively balance the loading of the article hoisted by the derrick structure, and a controlling device for activating an electrical control circuit to control the driving of the winch, the dolly and the counterweight.
Abstract:
A configurable electronic work slate unit includes a customizable array of data devices and input/output devices which are selectively integrated in a compact and highly ergonomic structure. Increased operator productivity is accomplished by use of several possible user interface media including a multi-function display and input/output unit including a digitizer, position sensitive screen, and video display panel. Selectively integratable user interface components include a bar code scanner, RF modulator for radio frequency communication, modem, audio input/output, as well as the multi-purpose display. All components are integrated by use of a handle unit or module docking assembly which can house a battery as well as removable modules in a manner so as to minimize operator fatigue and discomfort, as well as enhance productivity. Configuration, reconfiguration and updating of work slate units by choice and selection of removable modules, from a variety of different types of modules, is enhanced by utilization of standardized interfaces which are intercoupled to a common signal bus. The bus configuration in combination with a bus controller functions as an intelligent bus capable of identifying types of removable modules and configuring communication protocols for operation with different types of removable modules.
Abstract:
A paper clip is made of resilient sheet-steel which is bent into U-shaped structure. Two holes are punched on the upper portion of the U-shaped sheet-steel to define therewith a ridge portion which can be pressed to recess or bent to project over the level surface of the upper portion thereof so as to open the clip for the insertion therein of sheets of paper or close the clip to clamp sheets of paper. Corrugated portions are transversely and longitudinally formed on the upper portion and the lower portion of the clip respectively to reinforce its clamping effect.
Abstract:
Various 3D memory cells, array structures, and processes are disclosed. In an embodiment, a 3D memory cell structure includes a vertical conductor core, an insulator surrounding the vertical conductor core, a semiconductor layer surrounding the insulator, charge trapping layers surrounding the semiconductor layer, and a word line layer surrounding at least a portion of the charge trapping layers.

Abstract:
A quantum bit array is disclosed. In an embodiment, the quantum bit array includes a control gate coupled to a qubit and at least one pass gate coupled between the qubit and an adjacent qubit to control operation of the qubit of the quantum bit array, a bit line, and a first transistor channel that connects the bit line to the control gate. The array further comprises at least one word line coupled to the first transistor channel. The at least one word line selectively controls charge flow through the first transistor channel. The array further comprises a capacitor coupled to selectively store charge in the first transistor channel.
Abstract:
An improved structure of an electronic lock includes an outside-door assembly, a lock middle, an inside-door assembly, and a latch. The outside-door assembly is mounted to an outer side of a door panel. The lock middle is connected to the outside-door assembly. The inside-door assembly is connected to the lock middle and is mounted to an inner side of the door panel. The latch is connected to the latch coupler. With a code entered, an electrically-driven valve of the lock middle causes a guide block and a projection block to extend outward to have an outside handle and the lock middle to synchronously operate for opening the door. Alternatively, a key may be used to open the door. If such a code and a key are both not available, the outside handle and the lock middle do not synchronously operate.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus for writing nonvolatile 3D NAND flash memory using multiple-page programming. A method is provided for multiple-page programming of an array having a block that includes page groups and each page group includes cell strings that form pages. The method includes deactivating drain select gates (DSGs) and source select gates (SSG), applying a programming voltage to a selected word line, and applying a middle high voltage to unselected word lines. The method also includes repeating multiple programming operations while maintaining the word line voltage levels from a first programming operation to a last programming operation. Each programming operation includes loading data onto bit lines and pulsing a drain select gate associated with a selected page group to load the data into a selected page of the selected page group.
