摘要: When a printing position is displaced by an inclination of a printing head, for example, the displacement can be corrected in an easy and effective manner and a user can easily recognize the displacement of the printing position to correct the displacement. To realize this, dots for forming a test pattern are formed by different scannings by a nozzle group including a plurality of nozzles positioned at one end side of a nozzle row and a nozzle group including a plurality of nozzles positioned at the other end side of the nozzle row. Depending on displacements of the printing positions of these dots, the plurality of nozzles constituting the nozzle row are divided into a plurality of divided nozzle groups. Then, the printing position is adjusted on the basis of the divided nozzle groups.

摘要: The present invention provides an optical multiplexer/demultiplexer which can demultiplex a multiplexed optical signal having a number of wavelength bands into respective wavelength regions, or multiplex light having respective wavelength regions in the field of optical communications. That is, light gained by multiplexing light having wavelengths λ1, λ2, λ3 and λ4 is emitted from an optical fiber (9a) and the optical axis thereof is bent by a micro lens (12a) of a micro lens array (14) so that the light is converted to parallel light which is then reflected from a mirror layer (19) so as to enter into a filter layer (17). A filter (17a) transmits only light having wavelength λ1, and light having other wavelengths is reflected and again reflected by the mirror layer (19) so as to enter into the filter layer (17). The optical axis of light that has transmitted through the filter (17a) is bent by a micro lens (12c) so that the light is coupled to an optical fiber (9c). Light having wavelength λ1, λ2, λ3 and λ4 is taken out from the light emitting ends of optical fibers (9c, 9d, 9e and 9f), respectively.

摘要: Two mirrors (15) and (16) making an angle of 90 degrees are formed on a front face of a mirror member (17). An optical fiber for input (12) and an optical fiber for output (13) are held in a fiber array (14) with a predetermined interval, and an emission lens (23) and an injection lens (24) are provided on a front face of the fiber array (14) in a way that they are opposed to end faces of the optical fiber for input (12) and the optical fiber for output (13) respectively. According to the variable optical attenuator, when the mirror member (17) is straightly moved by an actuator (18), light attenuation can be varied thereby.

摘要: A coded image on a recording medium (a card) which records desired information as an optically readable coded image (a dot code) contains predetermined record location information indicating a record location at which the image is recorded on the card, as, for example, an element of a physical format of the image. A coded image reading apparatus for reading the coded image from the card has image inputting means (a pickup). The apparatus includes a CPU, which includes and can execute record location determining means (a program) for obtaining record location information from an input image and determining a record location of the image. The card is guided so that the proper read operation can be performed in accordance with this function of determination.

摘要: Disclosed is an optical collimator-use lens component including: a thin tube; a partially spherical lens that has been fixed in an inner hole of the thin tube so that an insertion portion having a predetermined length is left, is made of glass whose refractive index is approximately uniform, and has translucent spherical surfaces, whose centers of curvature are approximately the same, at both ends of a cylindrical portion of the partially spherical lens; and an adhesive that bonds the partially spherical lens to the thin tube. An axial deviation amount between a center axis of the thin tube and an optical axis of the partially spherical lens is 5 μm or less. When a capillary tube, in whose inner hole an optical fiber has been fixed and whose axial deviation amount between an outer peripheral surface of the capillary tube and a core center of an end surface of the optical fiber is 1.5 μm or less, is inserted into the insertion portion of the thin tube and the end surface of the optical fiber is fixed at a position at which a distance of the end surface to a focal point position of the partially spherical lens becomes ±40 μm or less, emission light has an emission light bend of 0.2° or less with respect to the center axis of the thin tube.
