Abstract:
A closing unit for a flap of a motor vehicle includes at least two hinges which can pivot about a pivot axis between an open position and a closed position; a single drive including a motor, a clutch, and a gear mechanism; and at least two transmission elements extending between the single drive and respective the hinges for pivoting the hinges.
Abstract:
A half-open position holding apparatus for a vehicle opening and closing member includes an opening and closing member supported in a vehicle body to be openable and closable and has an opening and closing member driving unit that has a motor and a electromagnetic clutch that can put a power transmission path connecting the motor and the opening and closing member in a connected state and in a disconnected state, for driving the opening and closing member in opening and closing directions thereof, and an in-vehicle battery serving as a power source for the electromagnetic clutch. The apparatus includes a controller for controlling the opening and closing member driving unit, that, when the opening and closing member is held at a half-open position between a fully-closed position and a fully-opened position, holds the opening and closing member at the half-open position by stopping the motor, putting the electromagnetic clutch in a connected state, and controlling the electromagnetic clutch to a half-open position holding connection state such that a voltage applied to the electromagnetic clutch becomes a predetermined voltage lower than an output voltage of the in-vehicle battery.
Abstract:
A driving apparatus for a movable member of an automobile comprises a housing, a drum for driving the movable member, the drum being rotatably supported on the housing, and a clutch for selectively transmitting a driving torque to the drum, wherein the clutch is accommodated in a space of the drum.
Abstract:
An electromagnetic frictionally engaged clutch for arranging inside a drive train connecting a drive motor and a vehicle door or flap. The arrangement ensures that the vehicle door is securely held in each intermediate position, when the clutch is in an idle state, while maintaining the possibility of a manual emergency actuation of the vehicle door. The rotor includes at least one permanent magnet in addition to the electric coil, such that when a current does not pass through the coil, the armature disk is pressed against the friction lining of the rotor, with a force which is strong enough for the vehicle door or vehicle flap to securely remain in position occupied when the clutch is an idle state, and for the friction engagement between the armature disk and the friction lining to be overcome when the vehicle door or vehicle flap is subsequently manually actuated.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention provide power drives comprising a drive unit, a drive cable, a trolley, and a track on which a trolley is guided for moving components for use in motor vehicle applications. The drive unit comprises a gear powered by an electric motor. The electric motor rotates the gear that meshes with and advances the drive cable. The drive unit is coupled to an end of the track by an intermediate cable sleeve comprising a flexible material allowing for independent placement of the drive unit and the track by selectively bending the intermediate cable sleeve. The drive cable passes through the intermediate cable sleeve and is coupled to the trolley and is adapted to advance the trolley along the track. The electric motor causes the gear to rotate in a forward or reverse direction to advance the trolley along the track.
Abstract:
A clutch mechanism of the present power device comprises a fixed gear member, a moving gear member engaged with the fixed gear member when moving to a clutch connecting position, an armature for moving the moving gear member to the clutch connecting position when rotated relatively to the moving gear member, an electromagnetic coil unit for applying a brake resistance to the armature, and a clutch holding surface for abutting against the moving gear member when the electromagnetic coil unit is turned off in the clutch connecting state and for holding the moving gear member at a brake-clutch connecting position. The abutment of the moving gear member against the clutch holding surface is released by rotating the moving gear member relatively to the armature in a state in which the electromagnetic coil unit is operated.
Abstract:
A drive arrangement for a motor vehicle door or hatch which can be moved by a motor with a planet gear and a brake device with a brake. The brake device has a brake drive which is separate from the drive which drives the drive shaft and the brake is able to be moved at least from one of two positions into the other of the two positions by the brake drive. The brake can be an arc-shaped clip pivotally supported by a pivot axle with an inner periphery which is matched to an outer periphery of an element of the planet gear. The brake can be combined with the brake drive as an eddy current brake or can be operated by a further gearing or use of a permanent magnet with which an electromagnet is able to interact.
Abstract:
In a door opening/closing device, a rotation sensor is provided at an end of a rotation shaft that is arranged around a clutch. The rotation sensor includes a detecting element that is arranged so as to detect magnetic flux that is generated from the magnetic member in a direction crossing magnetic flux that is generated from an electromagnetic clutch. The rotation sensor is arranged such that an end of the rotation shaft extends outside of a motor base.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an apparatus (1) for opening and closing a door (2) which is arranged so that it can slide on a vehicle (3). The apparatus comprises an engaging element (5), such as a cable, connected to the door (2), and a drive wheel (6) designed to act upon the engaging element (5). A transmission (7) is operatively connected to the drive wheel (6) and the transmission (7) is designed to transmit power to the drive wheel (6) via at least a first gear and a second gear. In one embodiment the transmission may have a neutral position so that the drive wheel (6) can rotate freely. A position sensor (8) is connected to the sliding door (2) in order to detect when the sliding door (2) has reached a predetermined position in the door opening. The transmission (7) then changes gear from the first gear to the second gear. The invention also relates to a vehicle provided with the apparatus according to the invention and to a method of fitting the apparatus according to the invention to a vehicle.
