An illumination system including a light source, a light guide including an output surface, emissive material positioned to receive light from the output surface of the light guide, and an interference reflector positioned such that the emissive material is between the output surface of the light guide and the interference reflector is disclosed. The light source emits light having a first optical characteristic. The emissive material emits light having a second optical characteristic when illuminated with light having the first optical characteristic. The interference reflector substantially transmits light having the second optical characteristic and substantially reflects light having the first optical characteristic.

Laser needle for performing a combined laser needle/electric acupuncture includes an optical fiber, the optical fiber being configured for transmitting a laser beam. Laser needle includes a current-conducting jacket, the current-conducting jacket being configured for surrounding the optical fiber, and the current-conducting jacket being configured for applying current-conducting stimulation current to tissue of a patient, in use, in addition to a laser beam being applied through the optical fiber, in use. A bottom end of the current-conducting jacket transitioning into a disk, the disk being configured for distributing the stimulation current on a larger area; and the disk being configured for simultaneously serving to attach the laser needle to the body of a patient, in use.
Abstract:
An apparatus, system and method for targeting an image formed on an imaging member. The imaging member includes an imaging sensitive layer formed thereon. The imaging member includes imaged and non-imaged areas. Light of a predetermined wavelength reflected from a target area of the imaging member is received. The light reflected from the target area is representative of an image formed on the imaging sensitive layer using energy at approximately the predetermined wavelength. The predetermined wavelength is suitable to initiate crosslinking of the imaging sensitive layer.

This invention is an apparatus for imaging metrology, which in particular embodiments may be integrated with a processor station such that a metrology station is apart from but coupled to a process station. The metrology station is provided with a first imaging camera with a first field of view containing the measurement region. Alternate embodiments include a second imaging camera with a second field of view. Preferred embodiments comprise a broadband ultraviolet light source, although other embodiments may have a visible or near infrared light source of broad or narrow optical bandwidth. Embodiments including a broad bandwidth source typically include a spectrograph, or an imaging spectrograph. Particular embodiments may include curved, reflective optics or a measurement region wetted by a liquid. In a typical embodiment, the metrology station and the measurement region are configured to have 4 degrees of freedom of movement relative to each other.

The underframe of a motor vehicle seat is equipped with weight sensors for sensing a weight load on the motor vehicle seat. The weight sensors are interposed between a first structure part, such as a seat profile of a longitudinal guide, and a second structure part, such as a console or a seat shell, and sense the weight exerted through the second structure part on the first structure part. The weight sensors are fastened to the first structure part and comprise sensor bolts projecting upward. Holes for the sensor bolts are provided in the second structure part. The sensor bolts extend through the holes and one nut, which forms a surrounding grip around the holes, is associated with each of the sensor bolts. The holes of the second structure part each comprise one hole region that surrounds the holes and is configured as a cap.

A semiconductor component and a method for its production in semiconductor chip size, can have a semiconductor chip, which has external contacts of the semiconductor component that are arranged in the manner of a flip-chip on its active upper side. The semiconductor chip can be encapsulated by a plastic compound at least on its rear side and its side edges. The outer contacts, which can be arranged on external contact connecting areas, can project from the active upper side.

A display system has a controlled transmission mirror disposed between the light sources and the display panel. The controlled transmission mirror includes a light-diverting input coupling element facing the light sources, a light-diverting output coupling element facing the display panel and a multilayer reflector between the input and output coupling elements. The controlled transmission mirror laterally spreads the light, making the illumination of the panel more uniform. The controlled transmission mirror may include a transparent substrate between the input and output coupling elements for additional light spreading. The light sources may be positioned within the controlled transmission mirror, rather than behind it. The output coupling element can be insensitive to polarization, so the light passing out of the controlled transmission mirror is unpolarized, or the output coupling element can be polarization sensitive so that the output light is polarized.

A support stand assembly for a rod and reel combination comprises a horizontal base member with a vertical support member extending from the base member. A linear support arm member is pivotally secured at a first end to the vertical support member, with the support arm member extending horizontally in a support position and pivoting upwardly to a release position. A stop member is secured adjacent a second end of the support arm member with a portion of the arm member extending beyond the stop member. An attachment member is adapted for securement to the rod of a rod and reel combination. The attachment member engages with the portion of the arm member extending beyond the stop member to support the rod and reel combination. In use, the attachment member is secured at the balance point of the rod and reel combination and engaged with the portion of the arm member extending beyond the stop member to support the rod and reel combination in a horizontal position. The support arm member disengages from the attachment member upon pivoting of the support arm member to the release position by upward movement of the rod and reel combination.
