摘要: A spunbond nonwoven fabric is provided which is formed from continuous multiple component filaments which include a polyester component and a polyethylene component. The polyethylene component is a blend of high density polyethylene and a first linear low density polyethylene. The spunbond filaments are preferably formed in a sheath-core configuration with the polyester component in the core and the polyethylene component in the sheath. Composite sheets are provided which include the multiple component spunbond layer and a meltblown layer, wherein the meltblown fibers include a second linear low density polyethylene. The linear low density polyethylenes are preferably formed by polymerization of ethylene with an alpha-olefin co-monomer, where the same co-monomer is used in each of the first and second linear low density polyethylenes.

摘要: The present technology generally is directed to methods for treating mild brain injury and other neurological disorders in a subject. The methods can include administering to the subject an effective amount of a compound comprising ghrelin. The present technology is also generally directed to methods for treating mild brain injury and other neurological disorders in a subject, for example, by administering to the subject an effective amount of a compound comprising ghrelin modified to include octanoic acid or by limiting the carbon 14 content.

摘要: A membrane distillation system is provided for distilling liquids. The membrane distillation system includes a heat generating means for heating a non-distilled liquid. The membrane distillation system further includes a microporous membrane that is asymmetric and vapor permeable. The microporous membrane includes a hydrophilic layer and a hydrophobic layer. The membrane distillation system further includes a supply means for delivering the heated non-distilled liquid to the hydrophilic layer of the microporous membrane. A collection means is further provided for collecting distilled liquid from the hydrophobic layer of the microporous membrane. A method of fabricating the microporous membrane for use in the membrane distillation system is also provided.

摘要: Composite membrane materials and process for their production. The process entails the use of at least first and second porous membranes formed of a polymeric material and at least a third porous membrane formed of the same polymeric material, but having larger pores than the first and second porous membranes. The first, second and third porous membranes are laminated together by applying heat and pressure to the first, second and third porous membranes without applying a separate adhesive material therebetween. The laminated first, second and third porous membranes form a composite membrane in which the third porous membrane is between the first and second porous membranes.
