    摘要: An expandable stent is provided. The stent has a ring architecture in which a plurality of connector segments join a plurality of ring structures to form the stent. The ring structures are an endless pattern of unit structures, each of which has two lateral arms and a central portion, and is inverted with respect to the immediately adjacent unit structures of the same ring structure. The connector segments have an undulating portion and can be axially displaced relative to other, circumferentially adjacent connector segments when the stent is in an unexpanded configuration. The stent can include axial portions in which connector segments are axially displaced from circumferentially adjacent connector segments, and can include other axial portions in which connector segments are axially aligned with circumferentially adjacent connector segments. A delivery system that includes a stent accordingly to the present invention is also provided.

    摘要: A stent graft delivery system (50) has a stent graft (74) retained on it. The stent graft has an exposed proximally extending self expanding stent (76) which is retained in a distally opening capsule (78) at the distal end of a nose cone dilator (58) on the delivery system. A trigger wire (80) extends from a release mechanism (82) the distal end of the delivery system into a first aperture (84) in the capsule, around a proximal bend (86) of the exposed stent and out of the first aperture in the capsule and extending proximally into a second aperture (88). The trigger wire prevents premature release of the exposed stent.

    摘要: In at least one embodiment of the present invention, a device for mixing and dispensing a bone cement mixture is provided. The device comprises a first chamber and a second chamber. The first chamber is for containing a first bone cement component. The second chamber is for containing a second bone cement component. A valve is in fluid communication with the first and second chambers. A first and a second plunger are respectively within the first and second chambers and are configured to actuate within their respective chambers. When the valve is in a first position actuating the first plunger advances the first bone cement component into the second chamber to form the bone cement mixture.
