    摘要: In a computer-controlled internal combustion engine with an electronically-controlled throttle system, a duplex throttle-position sensor system, a duplex accelerator-position sensor system, and other engine/vehicle sensors/switches, a sensor-failure detection and fail-safe system is configured to be electronically connected to the two throttle position sensors, the two accelerator position sensors and a vehicle-deceleration sensor for responding to a failure in at least one of the two throttle position sensors and the two accelerator position sensors for failsafe purposes. The sensor-failure detection and fail-safe system comprises a duplex failsafe system for the throttle-position sensor system and a duplex failsafe system for the accelerator-position sensor system, to provide superior fail-safe functions despite the presence of a throttle-position sensor failure and/or an accelerator-position sensor failure.

    摘要: In a crank angle sensor signal processor including a microcomputer, the number of generated unit crank angle (1.degree.) signals are counted and compared with a predetermined level. An interrupt demand signal is generated in response to a reference signal only when the number of generated unit signals exceeds the predetermined level in order to minimize the effects of noise on the reference signal. The reference signal is expected to be inputted to the processor immediately after the number of generated unit sensor signals exceeds the predetermined level.

    摘要: In a vehicle in which an output of an engine is transmitted to a driving wheel through a transmission, an engine control device stops fuel injection of the engine, when engine rotational speed is above a preset specific fuel cut-off rotational speed while the vehicle is coasting; and restarts the fuel injection, when the engine rotational speed falls below a recovery rotational speed while the fuel injection is stopped, wherein the recovery rotational speed is below the specific fuel cut-off rotational speed. When determining that an operating state allows the stop and restart of fuel injection to be repeated, the engine control device sets a hunting-preventing fuel cut-off rotational speed based on an input shaft rotational speed of the transmission, wherein the hunting-preventing fuel cut-off rotational speed replaces the specific fuel cut-off rotational speed.

    摘要: An engine control apparatus controls an engine rotational speed to a target rotational speed by using a detected input side transmission rotational speed of a manual transmission as the target rotational speed upon detecting a clutch pedal depression amount during shifting being equal to or larger than a first prescribed depression amount, which is equal to or larger than a depression amount corresponding to a clutch disconnect position. The engine rotational speed is controlled to the target rotational speed by using the smaller of a computed transmission rotational speed (based on vehicle speed and gear ratio using a shift position) and the detected input side transmission rotational speed, upon detecting the clutch pedal depression amount during shifting being smaller than the first prescribed depression amount and larger than a second prescribed depression amount, which is smaller than the depression amount corresponding to the clutch disconnect position.

A driving intent determining component determines a driver's driving intention. A rotational speed synchronization control component performs rotational speed synchronization based on a first target engine rotational speed value that is smaller than the input side transmission rotational speed value when a clutch is disconnected and a deceleration intention exists by the driver, and based on a second target engine rotational speed value that is equal to the input side transmission rotational speed value when the clutch is disconnected without the deceleration intention.

    摘要: An engine speed synchronizer for a manual transmission with an engine clutch, synchronizes rotation of the engine side of the engine clutch with rotation of the transmission side of the engine clutch by engine speed control with reference to operation of a shift lever under condition that the engine clutch is disengaged. The engine speed synchronizer determines whether or not a transmission input speed has started to change in a direction conforming to the operation of the shift lever; permits the synchronization in response to determination that the transmission input speed has started to change in the conforming direction; and inhibits the synchronization in response to determination that the transmission input speed has not started to change in the conforming direction.

    摘要: An engine torque control device is configured to reduce shift shock while shortening shift time and improving shift response in an engine equipped with a shifting unit. In the engine torque control device engine output torque is subjected to feedback control so that the engine speed will be the target speed (synchronizing speed) after a downshift. The feedback control includes at least a proportional control and a differential control. The differential control is halted until the difference between the synchronizing speed and the actual engine speed is equal to or less than a specified value. Differential control is only performed at or below this specified value.
