Abstract:
A method is provided for regulating the rotational speed in a hybrid drive of a vehicle having a first drive source, in particular an internal combustion engine, and a second drive source, in particular an electric motor. A rotational speed variable which is a function of a rotational speed of the first drive source and of a rotational speed of the second drive source is determined. The rotational speed of the first drive source or of the second drive source is regulated based on the rotational speed variable for oscillation reduction. The rotational speed variable used is preferably a mean value of the two rotational speeds. The two rotational speeds may be weighted on the basis of inertia in order to form the mean value as well.

A launch control method for a vehicle with a dry-type clutch includes: determining a target engine speed corresponding to an operation amount of an accelerator pedal of the vehicle when vehicle launch is started by operation of the accelerator pedal; calculating a feedforward component which is part of the torque to control the clutch using a rate of change over time of the target engine speed and a current engine torque; calculating a feedback component which is part of the torque to control the clutch based on a difference between the target engine speed and the current engine speed; calculating a compensation torque using a current engine torque and an estimated clutch torque which is estimated to be currently transferred by the clutch; and controlling a clutch actuator to drive the clutch with a sum of the feedforward component, the feedback component, and the compensation torque.
Abstract:
An apparatus controls a motor equipped in a hybrid vehicle. In this apparatus, a basic torque command value of the motor is calculated so as to reduce a deviation between a target rotation speed and an actual rotation speed of the motor. A torque correction value for the motor is calculated based on a variation of the target rotation speed which is obtained per unit time and a value of inertia of a power train rotated integrally with the rotation shaft of the motor. Further, a torque command value finally supplied to the motor is calculated by correcting the basic torque command value with use of the torque correction value.

A control apparatus for a vehicle including: an internal combustion engine that generates a driving force; and a motor connected to the internal combustion engine via an elastic body to allow torque transmission, wherein the control apparatus performs a specific control that controls a rotational speed of the internal combustion engine by a generated torque of the motor, and the control apparatus performs a control so that, even when the strength of the generated torque accompanied with releasing elastic energy accumulated in the elastic body in the specific control is required to be changed, the strength is not changed when an absolute value of a torque change ratio which is the amount of change per unit time is larger than a predetermined change ratio threshold and an absolute value of the elastic energy is larger than a predetermined elastic energy threshold.

A method and apparatus for starting an engine in a hybrid vehicle being driven by an electric motor is disclosed. The motor is operably configured to deliver mechanical power through an automatic transmission to at least one vehicle drive wheel to cause an acceleration of the vehicle. The method involves coupling the engine to the motor to cause an inertial load on the motor thus causing the motor to decelerate to a reduced rotational speed to provide a starting torque to the engine for starting the engine, and causing the automatic transmission to change gear ratio to a target gear ratio associated with the reduced rotational speed while causing the motor to decelerate, the motor being operable to deliver increased torque at the reduced rotational speed, thereby generally maintaining the acceleration of the vehicle.
Abstract:
A method for operating a hybrid drive device, which includes a first drive unit and a second drive unit is disclosed, wherein a drive torque of the hybrid drive device is produced only by means of the first drive unit in a first operating mode and is produced jointly by the first drive unit and the second drive unit in a second operating mode, and wherein an actual rotational speed of the second drive unit is brought into line with a target rotational speed upon a switchover from the first operating mode to the second operating mode. In order to bring the actual rotational speed into line, a target rotational speed gradient is determined and a target torque determined on the basis of the target rotational speed gradient is set at the second drive unit.
Abstract:
An apparatus and a method for controlling an engine clutch of a hybrid electric vehicle control a torque of an input shaft of the engine clutch to 0 by using an integrated hybrid starter and generator (HSG) and releases the engine clutch. The method may include: determining whether a release of the engine clutch is required while the hybrid electric vehicle is operating with fuel cut off; calculating an engine friction torque; increasing an output torque of the HSG by an absolute value of the calculated engine friction torque; decreasing a motor torque corresponding to the output torque of the HSG; and releasing the engine clutch when the output torque of the HSG is equal to the engine friction torque.

A method and a system for improving operation of a hybrid vehicle are presented. In one example, torque converter impeller torque from beginning to end of transmission shifting is adjusted in response to variable driveline inertia. The approach may improve transmission shifting and reduce driveline torque disturbances.
