摘要: Examples of techniques for extracting hydrocarbons from a subterranean hydrocarbon reservoir based on an artificial lift plan are disclosed. In one example implementation according to aspects of the present disclosure, a method includes performing, by a processing device, an evaluation of an artificial lift approach that can be operated at a well having a subterranean hydrocarbon reservoir, the evaluation being based at least in part on a static factor associated with operating the artificial lift approach in the well and a dynamic factor associated with operating the artificial lift approach at a operating condition. The method further includes generating, by the processing device, an artificial lift plan based at least in part on the evaluation. The method further includes extracting the hydrocarbons from the subterranean hydrocarbon reservoir based on the artificial lift plan by operating, at the well, the artificial lift approach.

摘要: An electric machine is presented. The electric machine includes a hollow rotor; and a stator disposed within the hollow rotor, the stator defining a flow channel. The hollow rotor includes a first end portion defining a fluid inlet, a second end portion defining a fluid outlet; the fluid inlet, the fluid outlet, and the flow channel of the stator being configured to allow passage of a fluid from the fluid inlet to the fluid outlet via the flow channel; and wherein the hollow rotor is characterized by a largest cross-sectional area of hollow rotor, and wherein the flow channel is characterized by a smallest cross-sectional area of the flow channel, wherein the smallest cross-sectional area of the flow channel is at least about 25% of the largest cross-sectional area of the hollow rotor. An electric fluid pump and a power generation system are also presented.

摘要: An assembly for positioning a retaining ring includes a mandrel having an outer diameter smaller than an outer diameter of a rotor. The assembly also includes a seal assembly for sealing a circumferential retaining ring around the mandrel or the rotor, the seal assembly comprising a pair of seal plates situated around opposing ends of the retaining ring. Further, the assembly includes a hydraulic expansion device for providing a fluid pressure for hydraulically expanding the retaining ring until an inner diameter of the retaining ring is greater than the outer diameter of the rotor. Furthermore, the assembly includes a displacement device for providing axial movement of the seal assembly and the retaining ring.

摘要: An electric machine and stator assembly includes a segmented stator having stator portions. Each stator portion includes stator laminations, end plates arranged axially on opposing sides of the stator portion, and structural plates arranged interior to the end plates. Each of the support plates has a portion with notch-like structures that is embedded within the stator laminations. Stabilizing couple the end plates and the structural plates together. Connectors are provided to connect the stator portions together.

摘要: In one embodiment, an apparatus includes a rotor shaft, at least one pole segment, at least one pole tip segment and at least one permanent magnet pair. 摘要: The present invention provides a method of making a flanged metal article. The method comprises (a) applying a first braze compound to a first portion of a metal article; (b) winding the first portion of a metal article with a length of a constraining metal member; and (c) heating an assembly of the metal article, the constraining metal member, and the first braze compound to a temperature above the solidus temperature of the first braze compound, typically a temperature in a range from about 300° C. to about 2500° C., to provide a flanged metal article, wherein the metal article has a coefficient of thermal expansion CTE 1, the constraining metal member has a coefficient of thermal expansion CTE 2, and CTE 1 is greater than CTE 2. The invention further provides a metal flange, which minimizes thermal expansion mismatch between a high expansion metal and a low expansion brittle material.

摘要: A midlength balanced rotor comprises a rotor assembly for rotation about an axis of rotation defining at least one of an axially extended, radially concentric, centerline borehole; an array of radially or tangentially distributed, axially extended pockets; and a series of radially or tangentially distributed, axially extended slots. At least one balance weight is positioned within at least one of the axially extended, radially concentric, centerline borehole, the array of radially or tangentially distributed, axially extended pockets, or the radially or tangentially distributed, axially extended slots to balance the rotor assembly. Alternatively, at least one balance correcting mass is removed from at least one of the axially extended, radially concentric, centerline borehole, the array of radially or tangentially distributed, axially extended pockets, or the radially or tangentially distributed, axially extended slots to balance the rotor assembly. In addition, a method of midlength balancing a rotor comprises the steps of providing a rotor assembly with at least one of an axially extended, radially concentric, centerline borehole; an array of radially or tangentially distributed, axially extended pockets; and a series of radially or tangentially distributed, axially extended slots; rotating the rotor shaft about an axis of rotation; determining unbalance of the rotor shaft; and adding or removing weight to at least one of said an axially extended, radially concentric, centerline borehole; array of radially or tangentially distributed, axially extended pockets; or series of radially or tangentially distributed, axially extended slots, to balance the rotor shaft.
