Abstract: Provided are a water-soluble PVA film having good water sealing properties in addition to excellent water solubility while maintaining mechanical strength of the water-soluble PVA film and a package using the same. A water-soluble film of the present invention includes a polyvinyl alcohol resin. When a crystallinity index calculated using a diamond prism is Fd1 and a crystallinity index calculated using a germanium prism is Fg1 for FT-IR measurement of a first surface of the water-soluble film by ATR technique, Fd1 and Fg1 are 0.25 Fd1 0.65 and Fd1/Fg1 >1. Fd1 and Fg1 are preferably Fd1/Fg1≤1.5.

Abstract: A method of making a resin composition comprising; a polyolefin (A); a saponified ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (EVOH) (B) having an ethylene content of 20-65 mol % and a degree of saponification of 96% or more; a higher fatty acid metal salt (C) having 8 to 22 carbon atoms; a conjugated polyene compound (D) having a boiling point of 20° C. or higher; an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (E); and a saponified ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (F) having an ethylene content of 68-98 mol % and a degree of saponification of 20% or more, wherein the mass ratio (A:B) is 60:40 to 99.9:0.1, the amount of the higher fatty acid metal salts (C) is in the range of 0.0001 to 10 pbm per 100 pbm of the total of the polyolefin (A) and the EVOH (B), the amount of conjugated polyene compound (D) is in the range of 0.000001 to 1 pbm, and the total amount of the ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (B) and the saponified ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (F) is 0.3 pbm or more.

Abstract: Provided are a water-soluble film that causes less deformation of the package during storage, while maintaining excellent solubility in water, and is capable of suppressing the occurrence of tears and the like, a production method thereof, and a package using the water-soluble film. A water-soluble film of the present invention includes a polyvinyl alcohol resin. The water-soluble film has an amount (A1) of crystalline component of 60% or less and an amount (A2) of constrained amorphous component from 10% to 50%, the amounts being obtained from a spin-spin relaxation curve by 1H pulse NMR measurement of the water-soluble film in deuterated methanol. A ratio (A1/A2) of the amount (A1) of crystalline component to the amount (A2) of constrained amorphous component is preferably from 0.1 to 5.

Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a multilayered pipe having a layer comprising a resin composition containing EVOH, which is unlikely to exhibit the occurrence of cracking in the EVOH layer due to oxidative degeneration and has excellent gas barrier property even during long-term usage at high temperatures, and also to provide a resin composition for obtaining the multilayered pipe. The present invention relates to a resin composition containing 0.001 to 5 parts by mass of an antioxidant (B) and 0.00001 to 0.3 parts by mass of a conjugated polyene compound (C) having a molecular weight of 1000 or less, relative to 100 parts by mass of an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer (A).
