    Abstract: A vehicular control system includes a forward-viewing camera and a forward-sensing radar sensor disposed at a vehicle. Image data captured by the forward-viewing camera is processed at an advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS) and radar data captured by the forward-sensing radar sensor is processed at the ADAS ECU. As the vehicle travels along a road, and at least in part via processing at the ADAS ECU of (i) image data captured by the forward-viewing camera and (ii) radar data captured by the forward-sensing radar sensor, the ADAS ECU determines presence of a pothole or road debris or a speed bump ahead of the vehicle. Responsive to communication of the determined presence of the pothole or road debris or speed bump to another ECU of the vehicle, at least one selected from the group consisting of (i) the vehicle decelerates to mitigate impact and (ii) the vehicle is steered to avoid impact.

    Abstract: A vehicular sensing system includes a plurality of sensors disposed at a vehicle equipped with the vehicular sensing system and a plurality of zonal aggregators each receiving respective sensor data captured by at least two respective sensors of the plurality of sensors and each aggregating its received sensor data into respective aggregated sensor data. The system includes an electronic control unit (ECU) that receives the respective aggregated sensor data from each respective zonal aggregator. The system includes a plurality of daughter cards, each removably connected to a respective zonal aggregator. Each respective daughter card includes a respective controller that controls a respective component of the equipped vehicle and the respective component controlled by the respective controller is based on a location of the respective zonal aggregator and respective daughter card within the equipped vehicle.

    Abstract: A vehicular vision system includes an electronic control unit (ECU) disposed at an interior rearview mirror assembly of a vehicle equipped with the vehicular vision system that includes electronic circuitry and associated software, a driver monitoring camera disposed at the interior rearview mirror assembly and having a field of view of a driver region in a cabin of the vehicle, and an occupant monitoring camera disposed at the interior rearview mirror assembly and having a field of view of an occupant region in the cabin of the vehicle. The electronic circuitry of the ECU includes an image processor operable to process image data captured by the driver monitoring camera and the occupant monitoring camera. The ECU, via processing at the ECU of image data captured by the driver monitoring camera, determines attentiveness of a driver of the vehicle.

    Abstract: A vehicular radar sensing system includes a radar sensor that includes a radiation slot sheet, a wave port sheet, and a waveguide sheet sandwiched between the radiation slot sheet and the wave port sheet. The sheets are joined together. The radiation slot sheet includes at least one transmitter that transmits radio signals and at least one receiver that receives radio signals. The waveguide sheet guides the transmitted radio signals from the radiation slot sheet to the wave port sheet and guides reflected radio signals from the wave port sheet to the radiation slot sheet. The transmitted radio signals are provided to the environment via at least one wave port of the wave point sheet. The reflected radio signals are received from the environment at the at least one wave port.

    Abstract: A vehicular integrated ADAS/infotainment module includes first electronic circuitry disposed at a printed circuit board and second electronic circuitry disposed at the printed circuit board. With the vehicular integrated ADAS/infotainment module disposed at a vehicle, the first electronic circuitry at least partially controls an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) of the vehicle and the second electronic circuitry at least partially controls an infotainment system of the vehicle. A firewall restricts communication from the first electronic circuitry to the second electronic circuitry and the firewall restricts communication from the second electronic circuitry to the first electronic circuitry. A housing at least partially encapsulates the printed circuit board, and the housing is liquid cooled to transfer heat generated by the first electronic circuitry and the second electronic circuitry away from the printed circuit board.
