摘要: Each of target braking forces for front and rear wheels of a vehicle is calculated based on an amount of braking performed by a driver and a predetermined braking force distribution ratio between the front wheels and the rear wheels. Each of the target regenerative braking forces for the front and rear wheels, respectively, is calculated based on a corresponding one of the target braking forces such that a maximum regeneration efficiency is obtained. If the driver has performed an abrupt braking operation, if the driver has performed a braking operation when the vehicle runs at a high deceleration, or if the vehicle runs at a high lateral speed, it is quite likely that anti-skid control will be started afterwards. Therefore, the target regenerative braking forces are gradually reduced, and target frictional braking forces are gradually increased. If anti-skid control is started, the target regenerative braking forces are set as 0.

摘要: A target wheel cylinder pressure for each wheel is calculated according to an amount of braking operation performed by a vehicle operator. When anti-skid control is required, the wheel cylinder pressure is controlled to be equal to the target wheel cylinder pressure for reducing the brake slip of the wheel. When one of the rear-left and the rear-right wheels is anti-skid controlled, the target wheel cylinder pressure for the other wheel for which the anti-skid control is not performed is set to the same value as the target wheel cylinder pressure for the wheel for which the anti-skid control is performed. Linear valves are controlled based on the target wheel cylinder pressure, controlling the wheel cylinder pressures for the rear-left and the rear-right wheels to have substantially the same value.

摘要: Disclosed herein is a scrap melting process for the production of molten iron from scrap (as the source of iron) and of high-calorie exhaust gas (as a valuable fuel gas) from pulverized coal (as the principal source of heat and a partial source of high-calorie exhaust gas) and waste plastics (as the principal source of high-calorie exhaust gas and a partial source of heat). The process comprises charging a shaft furnace (equipped with a burner at the tuyere) with scrap (as the iron source) and coke and optional waste plastics from the furnace top and injecting pulverized coal (or pulverized coal plus waste plastics) and oxygen through the burner under specific conditions, so as to mix together pulverized coal (or pulverized coal plus waste plastics) and oxygen, thereby achieving rapid combustion of pulverized coal etc., thereby causing the sensible heat of the combustion gas to melt the scrap and produce molten iron therefrom and recovering the combustion gas as a fuel gas without intentional secondary combustion in the furnace.

摘要: A vehicle deceleration control device is provided that can determine an appropriate supplemental braking force when a braking force is applied according to an accelerator operation state. An engine braking-equivalent braking force is varied according to an initial accelerator angle when an accelerator returns and according to an accelerator return speed. That is, the greater the initial accelerator angle is, or the greater the accelerator return speed is, the greater the value to which the engine braking-equivalent braking force is set. It therefore becomes possible to determine the appropriate supplemental braking force that reflects the driver's braking intention.

摘要: An improved vehicle brake system for controlling the frictional braking force and the regenerative braking force to be applied to a wheel of a vehicle. The brake system reduces the regenerative braking force to a predetermined force and keeps the regenerative braking force at the predetermined force before the start of anti-lock control. When the anti-lock control starts, the brake system decreases the regenerative braking force from the predetermined force. With this arrangement, it is possible to quickly eliminate a locking tendency of any wheel of the vehicle, thereby stabilizing the vehicle.

摘要: An automatic steering control performs an automatic parking control which automatically steers steerable wheels of a vehicle, without requiring a driver to perform steering wheel operation, such that the actual steering angle of the steerable wheels follows a changing target steering angle, whereby the vehicle is moved to a target parking state. When the actual steering angle fails to follow the target steering angle because of insufficiency of the steering drive force of a steering actuator, a braking force difference imparting control is performed so as to apply a predetermined braking force on the steerable wheel located inside a target vehicle locus. As a result, a steering moment is generated in the steerable wheels. This steering moment serves as a force for compensating for the insufficiency of the steering drive force of the steering actuator. As a result, the actual steering angle accurately follows the target steering angle.
