    摘要: A development method which comprises imagewise exposing a positive acting light-sensitive planographic printing plate comprising an aluminum support and a light-sensitive layer of an o-quinonediazide compound formed thereon, and then developing the exposed plate with a developer, comprising an aqueous solution of an alkali metal silicate, adding a supplementary solution comprising an aqueous solution of an alkali metal silicate to the developer to compensate for the degradation of the developer brought about by development and/or by carbon dioxide in the air; wherein the developer comprises an aqueous solution of an alkali metal salt having an [SiO.sub.2 ]/[M] ratio of from 0.5 to 0.75 and an SiO.sub.2 concentration of from 1 to 4% by weight based on the total weight of the developer, where [SiO.sub.2 ] represents the concentration of SiO.sub.2 per unit volume expressed as gram-molecules, and [M] represents the concentration of the alkali metal per unit volume expressed as gram-atoms, and the supplementary solution comprises an aqueous solution of an alkali metal silicate having an [SiO.sub.2 ]/[M] ratio of from 0.25 to 0.75.

    摘要: An exhaust aftertreatment system comprises an injector for injecting urea water into an exhaust duct, and a denitration catalyst disposed downstream of the injector with respect to a flow of exhaust gas. The exhaust aftertreatment system reduces nitrogen oxides in the exhaust gas by the denitration catalyst while using ammonia produced from the urea water injected from the injector. The urea water is injected along a direction of the flow of the exhaust gas within the exhaust duct, and a porous plate is disposed in multiple stages in a space of the exhaust duct such that droplets of the injected urea water impinge against the porous plate before reaching a wall surface of the exhaust duct. A surface of the porous plate subjected to the impingement of the droplets is arranged to face downstream with respect to the flow of the exhaust gas. Deposition of the urea water is prevented by causing film boiling when the droplets impinge against the porous plate, and the urea water reflected by the porous plate is uniformly dispersed into the exhaust gas. Thus, the urea water is uniformly dispersed into the exhaust gas without increasing a pressure loss of the exhaust gas. The urea water is prevented from depositing on the wall surface and producing a precipitate in the form of a solid.

    摘要: A process of extracting vegetable oil and fat from an oleaginous raw material which comprises the steps of obtaining flakes having a moisture content of from 0.7 to 10 weight % from an oleaginous raw material; contacting the flakes with an ethanol solution containing not less than 90 weight % ethanol at a temperature in the range of from 70.degree. C. to the boiling point of the ethanol solution, thereby obtaining a miscella; cooling the miscella, thereby obtaining vegetable oil or fat and a separate defatted miscella; drying the defatted miscella with a molecular sieve material having a pore size of from 3 .ANG. to 4 .ANG., thereby obtaining a second ethanol solution wherein the second ethanol contains less than 7 weight % water; and using the ethanol solution obtained in the drying step as the ethanol solution of the contacting step in a second extraction.

A limiter receives a IF AM stereophonic received signal and removes the amplitude variation components therefrom and couples the resulting signal to a phase detector composed of a phase-locked loop which produces as an output signal a sub-signal. A switch is provided which deactivates both the limiter and the voltage-controlled oscillator in the phase-locked loop circuit when the sound system is set to other than the AM stereophonic receiving mode.

    摘要: An automatic water feed mechanism and method is provided by equipping a lavatory with a two dimensional sensor array such as a camera unit for monitoring a target area that a user may enter. An infrared emitter and an infrared detector can also be activated at low light levels. A two dimensional image signal can be processed and compared with a stored reference signal for activating the release of water. At a low ambient light, the infrared emitter unit can be activated to emit infrared rays which can then be detected when reflected by a user by the infrared detector. Such a detection can provide an alternative release of water.
