    摘要: The conversion of CO/H.sub.2 O mixtures, in particular water gas, is carr out in the presence of solid, polymer rhodium complex catalysts which are insoluble in aqueous and organic solvents and are obtainable by polycondensation of one or more rhodium complexes having at least one ligand which contains at least one group capable of coordinating to rhodium and at least one group forming an inorganic network in the polycondensation, either with itself or with one or more inorganic network-forming agents capable of undergoing polycondensation. Novel rhodium complexes of this type are also described.

    摘要: The invention pertains to synthetic (s) peptides derived from the viral regulatory protein R (Vpr) of the human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1), particularly the chemical synthesis of the 96 amino acid full length Vpr protein (sVpr1-96), of a 47 amino acid long N-terminal (sVpr1-47), of a 49 amino acid long C-terminal fragment (sVpr48-96) as well as fragments thereof (sVpr1-20 and sVpr21-40) and further approximately 15 amino acid long fragments of sVpr1-96. As fragments or full length products of the HIV-1 regulatory protein, those products are used in biological assays, for molecular and structural characterization of Vpr and domains thereof, as well as for the development of anti-Vpr antibodies directed against Vpr peptide sequences.

    摘要: Composite materials which contain small particles of metal or metal oxide an oxide matrix are prepared by a process which comprises a) subjecting (1) one or more metal compounds and (2) one or more bifunctional compounds which contain at least one group capable of complexing the metal and at least one group which forms an inorganic network during the polycondensation, and if appropriate (3) one or more network-forming agents which are capable of polycondensation to the conditions of a complexing reaction and hydrolytic polycondensation by the sol-gel process in a liquid reaction medium, compounds (1), (2) and (3) being soluble in the reaction medium, and b) oxidizing the resulting polycondensate to form a composite material which contains small metal oxide particles with the very narrow particle size distribution in an oxide matrix, and if appropriate c) reducing the metal oxide particles of the resulting composite material to the metal. These composite materials are used as catalysts and in electrical or electronic components.

    摘要: A metal rod-shaped element for a liquid detecting device is essentially cylindrical and has first and second ends. In at least one length, starting from the second end, the element has an isolating coating and an electrode strip is provided which extends along a longitudinal axis of the element. The electrode strip is not electrically connected to the element and the strip comprises a high impedance material. Two flattened sections are provided where the metal of the element lies openly. In a cross sectional view the electrode strip is situated between the two flattened sections. A first contact mechanism is provided in order to establish, in the range of the first end, an electrical contact to the rod-shaped element, and a second contact mechanism is provided in order to establish, within the range of the first end, an electrical contact to the electrode strip.
