    摘要: In a method and an an apparatus for rotating a source image about a reference point on a reference coordinate axis through an arbitrary angle .theta. to obtain a destination image, the source image is represented by a group of reference blocks. Each of the reference blocks has N.times.N pixels and is composed of a square having a side parallel to an axis which is rotated relative to the reference coordinate axis by an angle of .times..theta.. One of vertexes of each of the reference blocks is defined as a rotation center vertex. Each of the reference blocks is rotated about the rotation center vertex by an angle of .theta. to obtain a rotation block. Calculations are made on shift quantities .DELTA.Y and .DELTA.X of the rotation center vertex of each of the rotation blocks. The shift quantities .DELTA.Y and .DELTA.X result from a rotation of the rotation center vertex about the reference point through an angle of .theta.. The shift quantity .DELTA.Y is defined as extending along the reference coordinate axis, and the shift quantity .DELTA.X is defined as extending perpendicular to the reference coordinate axis. The rotation block is translated in a direction of the reference coordinate axis by the shift quantity .DELTA.Y, and is translated in a direction perpendicular to the reference coordinate axis by the shift quantity .DELTA.X to obtain the destination image.

    摘要: A voltage with a predetermined pattern is applied to liquid crystals to drive the liquid crystals during a unit drive period of the liquid crystals and an application pattern according to the gradation data is set taking into account a value obtained by integrating the amount of transmitted light of liquid crystals at various points in time when each application pattern is applied to the liquid crystals. This allows a fine gradation display even if the liquid crystals are driven by only ON/OFF of a maximum rated voltage. As a result, it is possible to drive the liquid crystals at high speed and produce a multi-gradation display.

    摘要: A frequency synthesizer, which controls the fluctuation of frequency not only of a long period but also a short period, ensures a wide frequency control range and can be realized at a low cost, can be obtained. The frequency synthesizer includes a first control circuit and a second control circuit, the first control circuit having a first variable frequency divider connected between a coupler for extracting a part of an oscillator and a main coil disposed within a magnetic circuit, a first phase detector, a first reference signal generator, a first loop filter and a first coil driving circuit and the second control circuit having a second variable frequency divider connected between said coupler and a sub-coil disposed in said magnetic circuit, a second phase detector, a second reference signal generator, a second loop filter and a second coil driving circuit in order to share the roles in such a manner that the first control circuit controls the fluctuation of the long period frequency, while the second control circuit controls the fluctuation of the short period frequency.
