Abstract:
The invention provides an adhesive applying method which makes it possible to perform a stabilized adhesive applying operation and to reduce the overall production time. In detecting the amount of adhesive applied and performing a corrective operation so as to ensure application of a predetermined amount of adhesive, a corrected value obtained by a corrective operation is stored at step #5. At step #7, an infinitesimal correction formula which shows the relationship of the corrected value with respect to the amount of adhesive used is found on the basis of the corrected values stored last time and this time and on the basis of the amount of adhesive used during the time from the preceding corrective operation and the current corrective operation. And a productive corrected value found by the infinitesimal correction formula is used for adhesive application from the next time on.
Abstract:
A dispenser wherein a predetermined amount of a dispensing material within a syringe barrel is dispensed from a nozzle thereof by sliding axially a plunger to a prescribed distance toward the nozzle, the plunger being housed in an axially displaceable manner within the syringe barrel, a magnet is fitted to the plunger, and a magnetic proximity sensor detects an axially displacement position of the magnet within the syringe barrel.
Abstract:
An apparatus for metering required proportions of different fluid ingredients to make a required mixture (e.g. a colored paint) includes a rack of storage containers for the ingredients, each provided with a valve-controlled outlet and a receiving container mounted on a weighing device which is presentable to a chosen sequence of storage containers in turn to receive the required contribution from each. Metering of the necessary ingredient additions is effected automatically by a valve actuator carried by the support for the weighing device. Data processing control to optimize operation is described.
Abstract:
Systems and methods related to dispensing fluid and controlling a dispensing operation. The system includes a fluid dispenser including an inlet and an outlet, the dispenser being operable to start and stop the flow of the fluid from the outlet onto a substrate. The system also includes a fluid supply reservoir adapted to hold the fluid, and having an outlet coupled in fluid communication with the inlet of the fluid dispenser to establish a flow path for the fluid between the fluid supply reservoir and the outlet of the fluid dispenser. The fluid supply reservoir further includes a pneumatic input coupled to an air flow path adapted to receive pressurized air for forcing the fluid from the outlet of the reservoir. An electronic air flow meter device is operatively coupled to the air flow path to produce electrical output signals.
Abstract:
The invention relates to an apparatus for the dosed dispensing of a liquid, comprising a dispensing vessel (10) which has a dispensing opening (12) for the liquid and a compressed-air port (14), a compressed-air system (16) for the provision of compressed air, a connecting line (15) by way of which the compressed-air port (14) of the dispensing vessel (10) is connected to the compressed-air system (16); and a sensor device for determining the fill level of the liquid in the dispensing vessel (10). According to the invention, the sensor device is connected by way of the connecting line (15) to the dispensing vessel (10). The dispensing opening (12) is closable. The invention also relates to a method using the apparatus.
Abstract:
An apparatus for melting and dispensing thermoplastic material is provided that includes an un-heated hopper having an inlet for receiving particles of a thermoplastic material and an outlet for discharging the particles and a heated manifold including at least one cavity formed therein and having an inlet and an outlet the inlet communicating with the outlet of the hopper for receipt of the particles from the hopper. The hopper is disposed external of the heated manifold. The heated manifold is effective for melting the particles into molten thermoplastic material therein. The apparatus further includes a pump having an inlet in fluid communication with the cavity. An outlet of the pump is in fluid communication with an inlet of a dispenser and an outlet of the dispenser is effective for dispensing the molten thermoplastic material therethrough.
Abstract:
A monitoring apparatus is provided to monitor an amount of a liquid discharged from a nozzle. The monitoring apparatus includes a discharge case. The discharge case is configured to receive liquid discharged from a nozzle. The discharge case includes a storage space for storing the liquid. A photographing unit photographs the level of the liquid stored in the storage space.
Abstract:
A hot melt adhesive supply system includes a container configured to receive a supply of unmelted hot melt adhesive pieces, and an agitation device configured to agitate the supply of hot melt adhesive pieces situated in the container. The hot melt adhesive supply system further includes a transfer conduit configured to communicate hot melt adhesive pieces from the container to a hot melt adhesive melter.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method for pulsed dispensing of liquid. The apparatus includes a syringe body structure communicating with an input passage for pressurized actuation air, and communicating with an exit passage for allowing discharge of the liquid. An air input passage flow air controller is operative to increase the flow rate of the input air in accordance with a relationship that depends at least partially on a reduction of liquid volume in the syringe body structure resulting from a previous pulsed dispensing operation.
