    摘要: A dental cement hardened by a cement reaction involving the specific polymerizable polyacidic polymer and optionally additional crosslinkable groups, has reduced shrinkage and improved mechanical properties, in particular with regard to flexural strength and fracture toughness. Moreover, the specific polymerizable polyacidic polymer of the present invention contains a high number of acidic groups which is not reduced by the presence of polymerizable moieties, whereby water solubility of the uncured polymer is not impaired by the presence of the polymerizable moieties.

    摘要: The present invention relates to the use of an aqueous polymer dispersion comprising dispersed particles of at least one polymer A1 having a glass transition temperature, Tg, of from null20null C. to null35null C. and obtainable through free-radical emulsion polymerization in the presence of a polymer A2 synthesized from from 50 to 99.5% by weight of at least one ethylenically unsaturated monocarboxylic and/or dicarboxylic acid whose carboxylic groups can form an anhydride group, or mixtures thereof, from 0.5 to 50% by weight of at least one ethylenically unsaturated compound selected from the esters of ethylenically unsaturated monocarboxylic acids and the monoesters and diesters of ethylenically unsaturated dicarboxylic acids with an amine containing at least one hydroxyl group, and up to 20% by weight of at least one further monomer as binder for producing abrasive material.

    摘要: In situ solvent free methods for making anhydride based graft copolymers which involve mixing an ethylenically unsaturated monomer, an anhydride monomer, either a monofunctional polyglycol having a hydroxyl or amine terminal group or a polyfunctional polyglycol having a weight average molecular weight of greater than 5,000 and at least one terminal hydroxyl group, and a free radical initiator to form a mixture. The mixture is heated to form a copolymer having repeat units derived from the ethylenically unsaturated monomer and anhydride monomer, and a copolymer grafted polyglycol comprising a main polyglycol backbone having copolymer side chains which are heated to form an anhydride based graft copolymer. The anhydride based graft copolymers are especially useful as soil release agents in detergent formulations.

    摘要: A laundry detergent composition comprising a surfactant, builder and from about 0.1 to about 25 weight percent, based on the total weight of the laundry detergent composition, of a styrene-anhydride copolymer grafted with polyethylene glycol which is prepared by reacting in a solvent styrene monomer selected from styrene and substituted styrene, with an anhydride monomer selected from maleic anhydride and itaconic anhydride, to form a styrene-anhydride copolymer which is reacted with polyethylene glycol, to form a styrene-anhydride copolymer grafted with polyethylene glycol. The styrene-anhydride copolymers grafted with polyethylene glycol when used in a laundering process, remove soil from fabrics, inhibit soil deposition on fabrics, and provide soil resistance to fabrics.
