摘要: The primary coolant pump of a nuclear reactor, which is usually driven electrically, can be accelerated in the event of a line break by the escaping coolant to such an extent that its mechanical strength is in jeopardy due to overspeed. According to the invention, a brake and/or shut-off means, which can be controlled by the pump pressure differential or the pump speed, are associated with the pump. The invention is of interest particularly for pressurized-water reactors.

[Also in Division H2] In an absorption refrigeration system comprising a condenser 11, generator 12, evaporator 13, absorber 14 and heat exchanger 15, the fluids are circulated by magnetically driven pumps 19, 20 (see Division H2). Weak absorbent solution, e.g. a solution of lithium bromide and water, is passed from absorber 14 through heat exchanger 15 to generator 12 where the refrigerant is boiled off to concentrate the absorbent solution. Refrigerant vapour is condensed in condenser 11 and the liquid passed to evaporator 13 to produce the required cooling effect. Unevaporated refrigerant at the bottom of evaporator 13 is recirculated to the top of the evaporator. Refrigerant vapour from evaporator 13 is absorbed by strong absorbent solution in absorber 14 to produce the weak absorbent solution.

摘要: A fluid circulation monitoring system includes a distributed processing system having a first processor located on-premises near a space filled with a circulating fluid and a second processor located off-premises. The first processor and the second processor are in communication with one another. A sensor is operatively connected to the first processor and senses at least one parameter associated with a flow rate of fluid through the circulation system. The distributed processing system is configured to process the at least one parameter and derive a volumetric fluid flow rate through a fluid pump which propels the fluid through the circulation system. Pattern recognition is applied to the at least one parameter to detect maintenance events and predict the need for maintenance events.

The method includes operating, by a controller, a driving motor of a cooling water-circulating pump that is configured to circulate cooling water at a fixed current, a fixed torque, or a fixed power. In addition, the controller is configured to calculate an average rotation speed of the driving motor for a preset first period of time during the operation of the driving motor. Whether the circulation state of the cooling water is normal is determined based on an error between the calculated average rotation speed and a preset reference rotation speed.
