    摘要: A conductor arrangement is for a collection of subterranean wells for recovering fluids from an underground structure. A frame is provided with several conductor guides, each forming an inlet opening for a conductor in an upper portion of the frame and an outlet opening for the conductor in a lower portion of the frame. The conductor is arranged to border a portion of a borehole towards a surrounding unconsolidated mass and has been passed through the conductor guide and down into the unconsolidated mass. The conductor guides are arranged in a mutually diverging manner in the direction from the inlet opening, and each conductor is extendable by a bend, the deflection angle of the bends providing mutually parallel center axes in coupling interfaces arranged in upper end portions of the bends.

    摘要: An embedded housing system storing cables below the surface in a protected environment, with a moveable surface lid lying flush with the existing surface and following the crown or slope across the travel path. The cables are readily raised out of the housing structure to obstruct traffic across the travel path, or lowered into the housing system to allow unobstructed traffic passage. Single cables, multiple cables, and utility lines can be enclosed and remain protected within the housing support structure. Once raised, the cables can be attached to an end support. The housing support structure is prefabricated in sections, selectively attached to match the existing crown or slope across the travel path, and then installed below the surface. The flush surface lid of the cable housing structure is only about 8 inches wide, and can be locked while in the closed position. Surface lid sections remain connected while opening simultaneously across the sloping travel path, using an interlocking mechanism. Rain water is inhibited from entering the housing support structure by the surface lid, but if it seeps inside, it will drain away by gravity. Ice and snow is melted by a heating device.

In some embodiments, a plurality of MediaLink Interconnection Boxes (“MIBs”) or media interconnection devices, which may be disposed throughout a recreational vehicle (“RV”) park or other bulk service provider application sites, or the like, may serve as demarcation units designed to each provide an accessible indoor or outdoor interface where long-term or temporary/transient customers can directly connect to land line service (e.g., POTS service), video or television service, and/or Ethernet or Internet services provided by one or more service providers. Fiber-to-Drop-Point (“FTDP”) and/or point-to-point fiber insertion within a passive optical network (“PON”) communications system may be implemented using apical conduit systems in conjunction with the MIBs. Alternatively, traditional ground-based or buried line interconnections (or a combination of the apical conduit system and such traditional interconnections) may be implemented in conjunction with the MIBs.

    摘要: A method for laying cable from a vessel at a near shore location in shallow water to shore. The cable on the vessel is wrapped around a modified roller quadrant on the vessel. The roller quadrant is moved from the vessel into the water. A pulling device is attached by a line to the roller quadrant. The pulling device is used to pull the roller quadrant and cable toward shore. The pulling device may be positioned in the water and moved to shore as required. The pulling device may also be initially positioned on shore. The roller quadrant may include a skid and buoyancy modules to reduce the pulling force required to move the roller quadrant and lay the cable to shore.
