摘要: A pixel is included, the pixel including a photoelectric conversion portion configured to convert incident light to a charge by photoelectric conversion and accumulate the charge, a charge transfer unit configured to transfer the charge generated in the photoelectric conversion portion, a diffusion layer to which the charge is transferred through the charge transfer unit, the diffusion layer having a predetermined storage capacitance, a conversion unit configured to convert the charge transferred to the diffusion layer to a pixel signal, and connection wiring configured to connect the diffusion layer and the conversion unit. The connection wiring is connected to the diffusion layer and the conversion unit through contact wiring extending in a vertical direction with respect to a semiconductor substrate on which the diffusion layer is formed and is formed closer to the semiconductor substrate than other wiring provided in the pixel.

摘要: A photon counting device includes a plurality of pixels each including a photoelectric conversion element configured to convert input light to charge, and an amplifier configured to amplify the charge converted by the photoelectric conversion element and convert the charge to a voltage, an A/D converter configured to convert the voltage output from the amplifier of each of the plurality of pixels to a digital value and output the digital value, a correction unit configured to correct the digital value output from the A/D converter so that an influence of a variation in a gain and an offset value among the plurality of pixels is curbed, a calculation unit configured to output a summed value obtained by summing the corrected digital values corresponding to at least two pixels, and a conversion unit configured to convert the summed value output from the calculation unit to a number of photons.

摘要: The present invention is a solid-state imaging device including: a pixel array section including a plurality of unit pixels capable of accumulating charge photoelectrically converted by a photoelectric conversion section in a predetermined floating diffusion (FD) region; a system control section that controls the pixel array section; and a pixel signal reading mechanism that reads a pixel signal based on the charge from the predetermined FD region of a unit pixel of the plurality of unit pixels under control of the system control section. The pixel signal reading mechanism may include an AD converter that performs AD conversion processing on the pixel signal read, and a determination section that performs brightness/darkness determination of light received by the unit pixel on the basis of the pixel signal read in a determination phase. The determination section selectively controls execution or stop of the AD conversion processing by the AD converter on a pixel signal to be subsequently read according to a result of the determination.

摘要: Provided is a photoelectric conversion device including: a plurality of pixel circuits each including a photoelectric conversion unit configured to generate charges by photoelectric conversion and a transistor configured to transfer the charges from the photoelectric conversion unit; and a plurality of exposure control circuits each including a capacitor configured to hold a signal corresponding to an exposure period in the photoelectric conversion unit and a comparator circuit configured to compare a potential of a first terminal of two terminals of the capacitor with a threshold potential. Each of the plurality of exposure control circuits controls an exposure period of the photoelectric conversion unit by outputting a signal based on a comparison result caused by the comparator circuit to a control terminal of the transistor and driving the transistor.

摘要: An imaging device includes pixel sensors. A drive-sense circuit is configured to generating a sensed signal corresponding to one of pixel sensors. The drive-sense circuit includes: a first conversion circuit configured to convert, a receive signal component of a sensor signal corresponding to the one of the pixel sensors into the sensed signal, wherein the sensed signal indicates a change in a capacitance associated with the one of the pixel sensors; a second conversion circuit configured to generate, based on the sensed signal, a drive signal component of the sensor signal corresponding to the one of the pixel sensors. The drive-sense circuit is further configured to generate other sensed signals corresponding to other ones of the pixel sensors for the other ones of the pixel sensors. A graphics processing module is configured to generate image data based on the sensed signal and the other sensed signals.
