In an embodiment, a method is provided including the steps of: (A) introducing a well fluid comprising an electron-poor orthoester into a well; and (B) allowing or causing the electron-poor orthoester to hydrolyze to produce an acid and an alcohol in the well. In another embodiment, a water-based well fluid is provided, the well fluid including: (A) a continuous aqueous phase having a pH of a least 6; (B) an electron-poor orthoester; and (C) a viscosity-increasing agent.

A device and method for managing power in a wireless telecommunication system. A telecommunication device operates in a power saving mode during a sleep interval whenever possible to minimize power drain. The telecommunication device monitors various device, channel and network parameters and dynamically adjusts the duration of the sleep interval based on the monitored parameters in order to optimize power savings.

An example method is provided and includes receiving a request from a mobile node for an Internet protocol (IP) address and establishing a point-to-point (PPP) link for the mobile node. The method also includes provisioning a first tunnel associated with a first communication flow for the mobile node, and provisioning a sub-tunnel with the first tunnel for a second communication flow. The second communication flow is associated with a high priority type of data to be transported on the sub-tunnel. In more specific embodiments, a call admission control (CAC) mechanism is used to establish the sub-tunnel with the first tunnel for the second communication flow. Additionally, an inner label is installed in a header of a packet associated with the second communication flow in order to identify the sub-tunnel.

The session accept message is configured to supply connection information for the first network device to establish the second secure network connection with the second network device. The second secure network connection is established between the first network device and the second network device using the connection information.
