Abstract: In one implementation, a method is described. The method includes determining an operational characteristic of sensors of a sensor array. The method further includes selecting a group of sensors in the array based on the operational characteristic of sensors in the group. The method further includes enabling readout of the sensors in the selected group. The method further includes receiving output signals from the enabled sensors, the output signals indicating chemical reactions occurring proximate to the sensors of the sensor array.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer-readable media are disclosed for compression of sequencing data. One method includes receiving waveform data associated with a chemical event occurring on a sensor array, the waveform data including a plurality of time-based waveforms of a corresponding plurality of locations of the sensor array; converting, by at least one processor, each time-based waveform of the waveform data into a frequency-domain spectrum; generating, by the at least one processor, a key frame based on a plurality of the frequency-domain spectrums; calculating, by the at least one processor, for each of the frequency-domain spectrums, a difference between the frequency-domain spectrum and the key frame; and encoding, by the at least one processor, each calculated difference between the frequency-domain spectrum and the key frame.

Abstract: A method of forming a particle includes, in a disperse phase within an aqueous suspension, polymerizing a plurality of monomer units of a hydrophilic monomer having a hydrophobic protection group, thereby forming a polymeric particle including a plurality of the hydrophobic protection groups. The method further includes converting the polymeric particle to a hydrophilic particle.

Abstract: A method for compressing nucleic acid sequence data wherein each sequence read is associated with a molecular tag sequence, wherein a portion of the sequence reads alignments correspond to sequence reads mapped to a targeted fusion reference sequence includes determining a consensus sequence read for each family of sequence reads based on flow space signal measurements corresponding to the family of sequence reads, determining a consensus sequence alignment for each family of sequence reads, wherein a portion of the consensus sequence alignments correspond to the consensus sequence reads aligned with the targeted fusion reference sequence, generating a compressed data structure comprising consensus compressed data, the consensus compressed data including the consensus sequence read and the consensus sequence alignment for each family, and detecting a fusion using the consensus sequence reads and the consensus sequence alignments from the compressed data structure.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides methods, compositions, kits, and systems useful in the determination and evaluation of the immune repertoire using genomic DNA from a biological sample. In one aspect, target-specific primer panels provide for the effective amplification of sequences of T cell receptor and/or B cell receptor chains with improved sequencing accuracy and resolution over the repertoire. Nucleic acid sequences of variable regions associated with the immune cell receptor are determined to effectively portray clonal diversity of a biological sample and/or differences associated with the immune cell repertoire of a biological sample.

Abstract: Provided herein are compositions, methods and uses that relate to or result from the identification of markers that can distinguish between cells at different stages of pluripotency. Certain embodiments provide markers that can distinguish between parental cells (i.e. differentiated cells), partially pluripotent (i.e. partially reprogrammed) and pluripotent (i.e. fully reprogrammed cells). Also provided here are uses of such differential markers, for example, in identification of cell potential, in diagnostics, in differential separation, and in creating efficient workflows that involve fewer steps and lesser time in identifying or separating a desired reprogrammed clone or cell line from a mixture of cells at various stages of pluripotency. In certain embodiments, the activity of these markers can be manipulated to influence cell potential for research or medical purposes.
