Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure include methods and systems for attaching an articulation section. In an embodiment, a medical instrument includes a first tubular member including a first end. The medical instrument also includes a second tubular member including a first end. The second tubular member includes a plurality of layers including an inner layer and a first layer including a fluorinated material. The inner layer includes a first section disposed under the first layer and a second section extending out from under the first layer. A portion of the first tubular member overlaps and is bonded to at least a portion of the second section of the inner layer of the second tubular member.

Abstract: A valve assembly for a medical device including a container including a first region and a second region, a first fluid inlet fluidly coupled to the first region, a second fluid inlet fluidly coupled to the second region, and a piston assembly disposed within the container. The container is configured to house an agent within the second region, the first fluid inlet is configured to deliver a first portion of pressurized fluid to the first region at a first pressure level, and the second fluid inlet is configured to deliver a second portion of pressurized fluid to the second region at a second pressure level that is less than the first pressure level. The piston assembly includes a valve configured to move from a first position to a second position in response to the piston assembly moving relative to the container.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates generally to the field of medical devices for accessing body lumens. In particular, the present disclosure relates to medical devices, systems and methods for enlarging an opening of a body lumen. In an embodiment, a device may include a flexible elongate tube. A distal end of the tube may be configured to access an opening of a body lumen. A plurality of wire lumens may extend from the distal end of the tube toward a proximal end of the tube that are radially offset from and substantially parallel with a longitudinal axis. At least a portion of the plurality of wire lumens may be exposed to an outer surface of the tube along a distal portion. A plurality of wires may each extend along a respective wire lumen. A portion of each wire may extend externally to the wire lumens exposed to the outer surface.

Abstract: A device includes a balloon configured for inflation with a light-diffusing fluid and configured, upon inflation, to expand a body lumen within which it is positioned and a flexible light-emitting device attached to the balloon having a light-emitting side facing radially inward toward the fluid so that, during a medical procedure, light emitted from the light-emitting side is diffused by the fluid and illuminates a treatment area within the body lumen proximal to the balloon.

Abstract: A catheter includes a handle and an elongate member extending from the handle. The catheter may also include steering system coupled to the handle. The steering system may be configured to deflect at least a portion of the elongate member in at least one direction. Abstract: Systems, devices, and methods for electroporation ablation therapy are disclosed, with a protection device for isolating electronic circuitry, devices, and/or other components from a set of electrodes during a cardiac ablation procedure. A system can include a first set of electrodes disposable near cardiac tissue of a heart and a second set of electrodes disposable in contact with patient anatomy. The system can further include a signal generator configured to generate a pulse waveform, where the signal generator coupled to the first set of electrodes and configured to repeatedly deliver the pulse waveform to the first set of electrodes. The system can further include a protection device configured to selectively couple and decouple an electronic device to the second set of electrodes.

Abstract: A delivery device may be configured to deliver an agent to a target tissue through a channel of a medical device, the delivery device may include a body including (a) a coupling region configured to removably attach to a handle of the medical device, and (b) a coupler including an exit port for aligning with a port of the channel, wherein the coupler is configured to mate with the port of the channel; a source of an agent; and a source of pressurized fluid. The body, the source of agent, and the source of pressurized fluid may be arranged to deliver agent and pressurized fluid to the exit port for delivery through the channel.
