Abstract: Technologies relating to a magnetic resonance spectrometer are disclosed. The magnetic resonance spectrometer may include a doped nanostructured crystal. By nanostructuring the surface of the crystal, the sensor-sample contact area of the crystal can be increased. As a result of the increased sensor-sample contact area, the output fluorescence signal emitted from the crystal is also increased, with corresponding reductions in measurement acquisition time and requisite sample volumes.

Abstract: A dry powder delivery device may be configured to provide micronized dry powder particles to airways of a user. The device may include a cylindrical container delimiting a chamber containing at least one magnetically-responsive object, a motor external to said chamber, a magnet external to the chamber and rotatably coupled with the motor, and an outflow member configured to direct airflow to a user. The magnetically-responsive object may be coated with micronized dry powder particles, and the motor may be operable to rotate the magnet about an axis. Rotation of the magnet creates a magnetic field that causes the magnetically-responsive object to move in response to the magnetic field and collide with a side wall of the container to deaggregate the dry powder particles and aerosolize the dry powder in the chamber.

Abstract: The present invention concerns a method for determining whether brain regions of interest having reversible or irreversible pathology. The method includes acquiring over a predetermined period of time a plurality of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) images for each brain region of interest; analyzing the MRI images to obtain quantitative measurements of the fractional anisotropy (FA) for each brain region of interest and determining that brain regions of interest have reversible pathology when the measured FA increases and then decreases over the predetermined period of time.

Abstract: This disclosure describes techniques for analyzing statistical quality of bitstrings produced by a physical unclonable function (PUF). The PUF leverages resistance variations in the power grid wires of an integrated circuit. Temperature and voltage stability of the bitstrings are analyzed. The disclosure also describes converting a voltage drop into a digital code, wherein the conversion is resilient to simple and differential side-channel attacks.

Abstract: A Hardware-Embedded Delay PUF (HELP) leverages entropy by monitoring path stability and measuring path delays from core logic macros. HELP incorporates techniques to deal with bias. A unique feature of HELP is that it may compare data measured from different test structures. HELP may be implemented in existing FPGA platforms. HELP may leverage both path stability and within-die variations as sources of entropy.

In various embodiments, the present invention provides a method for detecting an enzyme, a method of protein analysis, or a method of detecting a chemical agent, including introducing a p-phenylene ethylylene compound to a composition including an enzyme substrate, and analyzing the fluorescence of the p-phenylene ethynylene compound. Various embodiments provide sensors that include a p-phenylene ethynylene compound and an enzyme substrate.
