Abstract: Provided is a partially-annular sliding member including a sliding layer including fibrous particles having an average particle size of 5-25 μm dispersed in a synthetic resin at a volume ratio of 10-35% of the sliding layer. The particles having a major axis length ≤20 μm are included at a volume ratio of ≥10% to total particles. A sliding surface side area is defined from the sliding surface and has a thickness of 25% of a sliding layer thickness T, where the fibrous particles having a major axis length of ≥20 μm have a dispersion index of 1.1-6. An interface side area is defined from the interface and has a thickness of 25% of T, where the dispersion index is 1.1-6. An intermediate area is defined between the both areas, where the dispersion index is 0.1 to less than 1.

Abstract: According to the present invention, there is provided a slide member for a shock absorber of a vehicle including a back metal, a porous sintered metal layer containing a porous sintered metal formed on the back metal and a resin with which the porous sintered metal is impregnated and covered, and a resin slide layer formed on the porous sintered metal layer and having a smooth slide surface, and the slide member is formed in a cylindrical shape so that the resin slide layer is disposed on an inner peripheral side. The resin slide layer is composed of polytetrafluoroethylene and a plurality of granular elements dispersed in the polytetrafluoroethylene, and the granular element is composed of molybdenum disulfide and molybdenum trioxide, and/or tungsten disulfide and tungsten trioxide.

Abstract: Provided is a sliding member comprising: a steel back metal layer; and a sliding layer including a porous sintered layer and a resin composition. The porous sintered layer includes Fe or Fe alloy granules and a Ni—P alloy part functioning as a binder for binding the Fe or Fe alloy granules with one another and/or for binding the Fe or Fe alloy granules with the steel back metal layer. The steel back metal layer is made of a carbon steel including 0.05 to 0.3 mass % of carbon, and includes: a non-austenite-containing portion having a structure of a ferrite phase and perlite formed in a central portion in a thickness direction of the steel back metal layer; and an austenite-containing portion having a structure of a ferrite phase, perlite and an austenite phase formed in a surface portion of the steel back metal layer facing the sliding layer.

Abstract: There is provided a half thrust bearing having a semicircular-ring shape for a crankshaft of an internal combustion engine, including a back metal layer and a bearing alloy layer having a slide surface on which thrust reliefs are formed adjacently to both circumferential end surfaces so that a wall thickness of the half thrust bearing becomes thinner from the slide surface toward the circumferential end surfaces. A thrust relief length L1 of each thrust relief extends over a circumferential angle θ1 from the circumferential end surface toward a circumferential central portion, and is constant between an inside end portion and an outside end portion in a radial direction of the half thrust bearing. A flat surface of each thrust relief includes a first region on the circumferential end surface side and a second region on the circumferential central portion side.

Abstract: A sliding member includes a back metal layer and a sliding layer on the back metal layer. The sliding layer includes a synthetic resin matrix and graphite particles dispersed in the matrix in a volume ratio of 5-50% of that of the sliding layer. The graphite particles are composed of spheroidal and flake-like particles. The flake-like particles have a volume ratio of 10-40% of total graphite particles. The spheroidal particles have a cross-sectional structure with a plurality of AB planes of a graphite crystal laminated along a curved particle surface, from the surface toward a center direction. The flake-like graphite particles have a cross-sectional structure with the plurality of AB planes laminated in a thickness direction of the thin plate shape. The spheroidal particles have an average particle size of 3-50 μm, and the flake-like graphite particles have an average particle size of 1-25 μm.
