    Abstract: Provided is a partially-annular sliding member including a sliding layer including fibrous particles having an average particle size of 5-25 μm dispersed in a synthetic resin at a volume ratio of 10-35% of the sliding layer. The particles having a major axis length ≤20 μm are included at a volume ratio of ≥10% to total particles. A sliding surface side area is defined from the sliding surface and has a thickness of 25% of a sliding layer thickness T, where the fibrous particles having a major axis length of ≥20 μm have a dispersion index of 1.1-6. An interface side area is defined from the interface and has a thickness of 25% of T, where the dispersion index is 1.1-6. An intermediate area is defined between the both areas, where the dispersion index is 0.1 to less than 1.

    Abstract: According to the present invention, there is provided a slide member for a shock absorber of a vehicle including a back metal, a porous sintered metal layer containing a porous sintered metal formed on the back metal and a resin with which the porous sintered metal is impregnated and covered, and a resin slide layer formed on the porous sintered metal layer and having a smooth slide surface, and the slide member is formed in a cylindrical shape so that the resin slide layer is disposed on an inner peripheral side. The resin slide layer is composed of polytetrafluoroethylene and a plurality of granular elements dispersed in the polytetrafluoroethylene, and the granular element is composed of molybdenum disulfide and molybdenum trioxide, and/or tungsten disulfide and tungsten trioxide.

    Abstract: A main bearing includes first and second half bearings, each having a main cylinder portion and crush relief portions in both circumferential end portions. An oil groove circumferentially extends on an inner circumferential surface only of the first half bearing, one circumferential end portion of the oil groove opens on a circumferential end surface on a front side in a rotation direction, and the other circumferential end portion of the oil groove is positioned in the crush relief portion on a rear side in the rotation direction. The first half bearing includes a transition region between the crush relief portion on the front side in the rotation direction and the main cylinder portion, and the second half bearing includes a transition region between the crush relief portion on the rear side in the rotation direction and the main cylinder portion.

    Abstract: The invention provides a bearing device, including a crankshaft, a pair of half bearings each having crush reliefs adjacent to both circumferential ends thereof, a bearing housing having a retaining hole, and one half thrust bearing arranged adjacent to the retaining hole. Each half thrust bearing is configured at least by a bearing alloy layer and a resin slide layer which constitutes a slide surface receiving an axial force of the crankshaft, and thrust reliefs adjacent to both circumferential end portions of the sliding surface so that its wall thickness is made thinner toward the circumferential end surface. A thrust relief length at an inner end portion of the thrust relief positioned on a rear side in the crankshaft rotational direction is formed to be larger than a thrust relief length at an inner end portion of the thrust relief positioned on a front side.
