    摘要: A superplastically formed structural assembly is provided, as is an associated preform and method for forming such an assembly. The assembly includes a skin member and a support member that are joined to define a space between the members and between the joints. The assembly can be produced by joining the members in a flat configuration, and then forming the resulting preform to a predetermined shape of the structural assembly. The support member defines at least one aperture in communication with the space between the members. Thus, the skin member can be formed by delivering a pressurized fluid through the support member to the skin member, e.g., to superplastically form the skin member against a die that defines a contour surface corresponding in shape to the predetermined configuration of the assembly. The support member can extend in a substantially direct configuration between opposing portions of the skin member.

    摘要: A fender and running board support for motor vehicles with a fiber glass body is disclosed. The running board and fender support of the present invention comprises a pair of spaced apart brackets with each bracket including a vertical portion extending downward from the vehicle frame and an outward extending horizontal portion integral with the vertical portion. A diagonal brace extends between the vertical portion and the horizontal portion and is welded thereto to provide additional structural integrity. A pair of spaced apart longitudinal members extend between the spaced apart brackets and are attached to the horizontal portion to abut and provide longitudinal support for the running board and front and rear fenders of the vehicle.

The bone implant includes one or more bone attachment components for securing the implant into a bone and a head component independent of and separable from the bone attachment components. In one embodiment, each bone attachment component includes an internally threaded bore hole sleeve for receiving a connector component. The head component preferably is adapted so as to be secured to the one or more bone attachment components at the time of initial implantation of the one or more bone attachment components and the head component into the bone. The head component preferably is adapted to be oriented relative to at least one of the one or more bone attachment components at a predetermined tilt angle, so that the implant generally conforms with a natural root structure of a missing tooth.

    摘要: The invention provides methods of superplastic forming and diffusion bonding and a gas inlet tube that facilitates the methods which produce structures that are substantially mark off free. Methods include disposing a sealed pack into a die having a patterned surface and an opposite surface; applying a first pressure within the die around an outside of the pack; applying a second pressure within the pack, the second pressure exceeding the first pressure; and forming the pack by superplastic deformation into a diffusion-bonded structure. Further, a gas inlet tube is provided having an inner tube and an outer tube, where the outer tube is weldable to the pack in a gas tight seal.

    摘要: A device and a method are provided for the analysis of a sample plate on which at least two material samples are situated. In the method, one impedance spectrum is measured for each of the material samples. As a function of the respectively measured impedance spectrum, a configuration of a circuit equivalent is determined which includes at least one electronic component. Then, for an error minimization computation, starting values for the components of the respective circuit equivalents are determined. In the error minimization computation, a theoretical impedance spectrum is calculated for at least one of the material samples, based on the impedance spectrum measured for the material sample, as well as the starting values for the components of the respective circuit equivalent, and fit values are determined for the components of the respective circuit equivalent. Subsequently, a validation variable is determined for the calculated, theoretical impedance spectrum, and an evaluation variable is ascertained by comparison of at least one of the fit values for the components to a reference value.
