Abstract: Use of a material (3) for producing hydrogen or electricity, wherein the material comprises at least 50% by weight of a reagent for hydrolysis upon contact with an aqueous solution to obtain hydrogen. The reagent comprises: a first compound chosen from magnesium metal, magnesium hydride, and mixtures thereof, and a second compound alloyed with the first compound, wherein the second compound is chosen from graphite, carbon fibers, and mixtures thereof. The first compound represents at least 75% by weight of the reagent, while the second compound represents between 1% and 25% by weight of the reagent.Use of a capsule containing the material.Method and corresponding production device.

Abstract: Disclosed is an acoustic resonance spectrometry system for analysing a sample, which includes an optical pump-probe device adapted to generate a pump beam and a probe beam, the pump beam being consisted of a series of ultra-short pump light pulses having a repetition frequency in the spectral domain of the gigahertz, the pump beam being directed towards an optoacoustic transducer to generate a periodic grating of coherent acoustic phonons in the sample, the probe beam being directed towards the sample to form a scattering beam of the probe beam on the grating of phonons, a frequency variation device being adapted to vary the repetition frequency of the pump beam in a spectral range and a photo-detection system configured to measure a scattering signal as a function of the repetition frequency in the spectral range.

Abstract: A method for depolymerization of lignin includes oxidizing non-phenolic lignin by putting into presence, in at least one solvent, non-phenolic lignin, laccase, redox mediator and a source of oxygen, whereby a mixture including oxidized non-phenolic lignin is obtained, and further includes depolymerization of the oxidized non-phenolic lignin thereby obtained, by adding an oxidizer. The non-phenolic lignin is obtained from phenolic lignin by functionalization of phenol functions of the phenolic lignin.
