The present invention provides a displacement measurement method, an apparatus thereof, a probe microscope. which make it possible to stably measure an amount of displacement and a moving distance of an object under measurement with an accuracy of the sub-nanometer order or below without being affected by disturbances such as fluctuations of air, mechanical vibration.Specifically, with the present invention, a pulsed beam is split into two; one beam is reflected by an object under measurement and then inputted to a delay optical path equivalent to one pulse period; and the other beam is sent through the same delay optical path in the opposite direction up to the object under measurement with a delay of one pulse period, and then reflected by the object under measurement. Then, an optical phase variation caused by the movement of the object under measurement is obtained by subjecting the two pulsed beams to interference.

A pattern inspection method and apparatus in which a deep ultraviolet light or an ultraviolet light is irradiated onto a specimen on which a pattern is formed, an image of the specimen which is irradiated with the deep ultraviolet light or the ultraviolet light is formed and the formed image is detected with a rear-surface irradiation type image sensor, which is sensitive to wavelengths of no greater than 400 nmm. A signal outputted from the image sensor is processed so as to detect a defect of the specimen by converting an analog image signal outputted from the image sensor to a digital image signal with an A/D converter, and a display displays information of the defect detected.

Also provided are a process for producing and an apparatus using such a catalyst. Impregnation of a Ni—Al composite oxide precursor of a nonstoichiometric composition prepared by the solution-spray plasma technique with a ruthenium salt to be supported and performing reduction treatment allows CO methanation reaction to selectively proceed even in the high-temperature range in which CO2 methanation reaction and reverse water-gas-shift reaction proceed preferentially with conventional catalysts. Selective CO methanation reaction occurs reproducibly with another Ni—Al composite oxide precursor or an additive metallic species. Also, the low-temperature activity of CO methanation reaction can be improved through steps different from conventional catalyst production processes in producing such a catalyst material, whereby the temperature window the resulting catalyst material has can be utilized most effectively.

Although techniques for determining the positions of workers and products and displaying their tracks on a two-dimensional layout were available in the past, they were inconvenient in that work times and process shifts over time could not be grasped. A technique for grasping work contents of a worker highly accurately utilizing electronic tags was also available. However, it was also inconvenient in that the workers had to read the electronic tags intentionally while at work. The work information processor (100) is capable of showing passage of time and process shifts by specifying steps at given points in time by a position sensor (161) attached to a worker. Also represented is a work information processor that stores work content definition information for specifying work contents based on the information detected by the sensor and displays work contents along the passage of time, specifies work contents based on values detected by multiple sensors and the times of said detections according to work content definition information, and specifies work contents according to pieces of work content definition information.
