Abstract: An improved rotation angle detecting device that detects a rotation angle of a first member relative to a second member is proposed. The rotation angle detecting device includes a magnet unit fixed to the first member and a pair of magnetic sensors fixed to the second member to provide output signals whose phase is different from each other at 90 degrees in angle. The magnet unit includes a pair of disk plates that has the same magnetic poles at the same circumferential positions and is disposed at a prescribed axial distance and a shaft that is made of magnetic material to support the disk plates at the center thereof. The magnetic unit provides a uniform magnetic field in a space around the shaft between the pair of disk plates, and a pair of magnetic sensors is disposed in the space.

Abstract: An X-ray tube controller measures operation information (filament power supply time in an X-ray tube and a grid voltage value applied to grid electrodes to maintain the tube current value under a predetermined tube voltage). The information is transmitted to an X-ray tube operation information acquiring unit via a communication line. In a storage section of the information acquiring unit, a database written with degree of attrition corresponding to the integrated power supply time of a filament (reduction ratio of thermalelectron emission amount (tube current value at a predetermined G1 voltage) to the initial value (thermalelectron emission amount when the filament is first used) is stored. An attrition degree determination section determines the degree of attrition of the filament from the count of filament power supply time with reference to the database. Also, the attrition degree determination section determines the end of life from the G1 voltage value.

Abstract: An angular position detecting apparatus using a magnetic detecting element, which can voluntary widely set an output change characteristic of the magnetic detecting element with respect to angular positions. An angular position detecting apparatus includes a cylindrical yoke, and a magnet fixed to a predetermined position in the cylindrical yoke. A magnetic detecting element, which is fixed to a rotor, is provided in a magnetic field generated between the magnet and the cylindrical yoke, so that a position of the magnetic detecting element is shifted from a rotation axis P of the rotor by a predetermined distance r. A ferromagnetic thin film magnetic resistance element applies a magnetic field which has intensity so that outputs from the elements are saturated. As a result, the magnetic detecting element generates outputs depending only on a magnetic flux detection angle &thgr;s independent of an influence of changes of magnetic field intensity due to temperature changes. In this case, when at least one of a rotation radius r of the magnetic detecting element and a radius R of the cylindrical yoke is voluntary determined, an output change characteristic of the magnetic detecting element can be voluntary set.
