    Abstract: Embodiments of the present application provide a battery, a power consumption device, a method and a device for producing the battery. The battery includes: a battery cell, including a pressure relief mechanism, wherein the pressure relief mechanism is disposed on a first wall of the battery cell; a thermal management component, wherein a first surface of the thermal management component is attached to the first wall, and the thermal management component is provided with a pressure relief hole opposite to the pressure relief mechanism; and a baffle configured to cover a part of the pressure relief hole, so that when the pressure relief mechanism is actuated, a discharge direction of the emissions entering the pressure relief hole is changed. The battery, the power consumption device, the method and the device for producing the battery provided in the embodiments of the present application can enhance safety of batteries.

    Abstract: The application provides a method, apparatus, device and medium for detecting an internal short-circuit fault of a battery cell. The method includes obtaining electrical signal values for each of m battery cells of a battery pack, when it is in a preset condition including that a current detection is an nth detection; performing following steps for a target battery cell: calculating a first parameter of the target battery cell using the electrical signal values of the target battery cell, which characterizes a degree of fluctuation of the electrical signal values; calculating a second parameter that characterizes a degree of dispersion between the first parameter of the target battery cell and first parameters of other battery cells; and determining that an internal short-circuit fault occurs in the target battery cell, under a condition that the second parameter is greater than a threshold.

    Abstract: The disclosure relates to a protection assembly, a cover and a housing. The protection assembly is applied for an energy storage device having a pressure relief element, wherein the pressure relief element is structured to deform in response to an increasing internal pressure in the energy storage device until the pressure relief element bursts, and the energy storage device can expel high temperature particles through the burst pressure relief element. The protection assembly comprises: a particle-blocking layer comprising a receiving side for receiving the high temperature particles and a connecting side opposite to the receiving side, wherein the particle-blocking layer comprises a plurality of particle-blocking units in a concave-convex arrangement, and the particle-blocking unit can block the high temperature particles; and a separate protective layer disposed at the connecting side of the particle-blocking layer and connected to the particle-blocking layer.

    Abstract: Provided are a pressure relief structure, comprising a carrier substrate, the carrier substrate having a pressure relief portion and a remaining area other than the pressure relief portion, with the thickness of the pressure relief portion being smaller than that of the remaining area. The ratio of the thickness of the pressure relief portion to the length of the carrier substrate in a first direction is denoted as A, where A is greater than 5.6×10−6 and less than 0.028, and/or the ratio of the thickness of the pressure relief portion to the width of the carrier substrate in a second direction is denoted as B, where B is greater than 5×10−5 and less than 0.1. The first direction, the second direction and a thickness direction of the pressure relief portion intersect with each other.
