    Abstract: Embodiments of the present application provide a battery, a power consumption device, a method and device for preparing a battery. The battery includes: a battery cell including a pressure relief mechanism, the pressure relief mechanism being disposed at a first wall of the battery cell; and a thermal management component configured to accommodate a fluid to adjust a temperature of the battery cell; where a first surface of the thermal management component is attached to the first wall of the battery cell, the thermal management component is configured to be capable of being damaged by emissions discharged from the battery cell when the pressure relief mechanism is actuated, such that the emissions pass through the thermal management component. According to the technical solutions of the embodiments of the present application, the safety of the battery can be enhanced.

    Abstract: Provided are a pressure relief structure, comprising a carrier substrate, the carrier substrate having a pressure relief portion and a remaining area other than the pressure relief portion, with the thickness of the pressure relief portion being smaller than that of the remaining area. The ratio of the thickness of the pressure relief portion to the length of the carrier substrate in a first direction is denoted as A, where A is greater than 5.6×10−6 and less than 0.028, and/or the ratio of the thickness of the pressure relief portion to the width of the carrier substrate in a second direction is denoted as B, where B is greater than 5×10−5 and less than 0.1.     Abstract: A thermal runaway trigger method relates to the technical field of batteries. The thermal runaway trigger method includes: providing a battery cell and a heating member arranged in the battery cell; and heating the inside of the battery cell by the heating member, so as to cause a thermal runaway of the battery cell. The heating member is arranged inside the battery cell, and the heating member heats the inside of the battery cell to cause the thermal runaway of the battery cell, so that the inside of the battery cell can be heated to cause the thermal runaway of the battery cell in a relatively short time. Due to the reduced internal space of the battery cell, the range of diffusion of the heating member inside the battery cell is small, and the heat loss of the heating member is relatively small.
