Abstract:
The present invention provides for a system, and related method, for use in the monitoring of communications traffic, comprising the step of recording the said traffic and storing the recorded traffic in an encrypted data format such that the data can be decrypted only by means of keys that exhibit restricted availability.
Abstract:
An arrangement and method for removing a shaft from a gearbox housing without having to totally disassemble the housing. One embodiment incorporates a compressible retaining ring that circumscribes the output shaft. The retaining ring expands when the shaft has been inserted to a proper depth within the housing to lock the shaft in place. When it is necessary to remove the shaft, axial force is applied to the shaft that causes the retaining ring to compress and unlock the shaft. Another embodiment of the invention has an aperture in the housing of the gear box. The aperture is used to gain access to the retaining ring that locks the shaft within the housing. Once the retaining ring is removed, the shaft may then slide out of the housing. A plug member is used to cover the aperture when it is not necessary to remove the shaft.
Abstract:
A torque-limiting accessory drive assembly comprising a pulley to transfer torque to an accessory drive system, a torque limiting device adapted to limit the maximum amount of transferred torque, and a one-way clutch assembly adapted to both selectively transfer torque and selectively interrupt torque transfer at predetermined times to the vehicle accessory drive.
Abstract:
The present invention provides several methods and materials for use in building construction that may require air and water barrier, and water vapor permeability along with thermal or acoustic insulation. Several embodiments provide materials for a variety of building construction needs that can help build next generation green buildings.

Abstract:
A method of identifying or tracing one of a plurality of fiber optic fibers including transmitting a plurality of fiber identification data signals into ends of a plurality of fiber optic fibers, wherein a different data signal is transmitted to each of the plurality of fiber optic fibers; and identifying one of the plurality of fiber optic fibers based on the signal transmitted on the one fiber; wherein the data signals are digital codes.
Abstract:
In one embodiment, a method can include: determining a topology of digital picture frames in a frame network; identifying a lead picture frame from among the digital picture frames; sending the digital picture frame topology to a client coupled to the lead picture frame; receiving in the lead picture frame and from the client, media content for display on a destination digital picture frame in the frame network; and routing the received media content to the destination digital picture frame using router functionality in at least one of the plurality of digital picture frames.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention describe insulation systems comprising foam and nanoporous aerogel materials. Generally speaking, the insulation systems of the present invention may be employed for thermal management of essentially any surface, or volume whether enclosed fully or partially. The aerogel material(s) may reside between a foam material(s) and the region(s) to be insulated, encased partially or fully in the foam material(s) or otherwise combined therewith.
Abstract:
A process for producing a fuser member coating comprising a) adding and reacting a fluoroelastomer, a crosslinking agent, a polar solvent, a fluorinated polydimethylsiloxane additive, and a deflocculant to form a coating solution, and b) providing said coating solution on said fuser member to form a fuser member coating, wherein said fluorinated polydimethylsiloxane additive comprises pendant fluorinated groups.
Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention describe a roofing component comprising: asphalt, cellulose, stone, thermoset polymer, thermoplastic polymer, metal, ceramic, concrete or a combination thereof; and an aerogel material. Said aerogel material is integral or a distinct separate layer in relation to the component.
