摘要: A method for creating an updateable report representing the alarm status of a network. The method can comprise tracking the lifecycle state of at least a portion of the elements within the network, categorizing at least a portion of the alarms generated in the network based on the lifecycle state of the elements generating the alarms, and removing selected alarms from an updateable report based on the lifecycle state of the elements generating the alarms. Alternatively, all alarms generated by network elements having a tracked lifecycle state can be categorized based on the lifecycle state of the elements generating the alarms. The alarms removed from the updateable report can include alarms generated by elements with a non-operational lifecycle state, alarms generated by elements with a maintenance lifecycle state, or alarms generated by elements with either the non-operational or the maintenance lifecycle state.

摘要: A miniaturized fluidic spectrometer comprises a light source, a fluidic circuit having a plurality of flow channels through which an analyte flows, and a proximity detector array for detecting light from the light source transmitted through the fluidic circuit. Where the light source is broadband, a variable filter is disposed between the detector array and the fluidic circuit so that each position of the detector array is provided with a different wavelength response. The fluidic circuit is disposed in an optimized Fabry-Perot etalon. The fluidic circuit is defined in an elastomeric material and includes means for tuning the Fabry-Perot etalon by pressurization of flow channels in the elastomeric material.

摘要: A method for creating an updateable report representing the alarm status of a network. Network alarms are categorized based on the source and type of alarm, the alarms are placed in a filtering system based on source and type, selected alarms are replaced with alarm representations, and a report is updated with alarm representations. The filtering system comprises non-temporal, temporal, and linkage-based filtering. Non-temporal filtering includes de-duplication, clear message mapping, and classification. Temporal filtering includes frequency-based and cycling-based filtering. Linkage-based filtering includes internal linkage-based and external linkage-based filtering. The network can comprise the interconnected networks of an enterprise or of a single domain of an enterprise. The domain can comprise a business domain or operating system domain. The network can comprise a group of client computers connected to a server computer. The report can be displayed on a computer screen or can be sent to another location for further processing.

摘要: A catheter assembly and method for internally anchoring a catheter in a patient. According to one embodiment, the catheter assembly includes a catheter, a tubular fitting coupled to one end of the catheter, and an internal bolster coaxially mounted around the tubular fitting. The tubular fitting has a waist portion, and the internal bolster is secured thereto by a snap-fit. To internally anchor the catheter in a patient, one inserts the end of the catheter to which the fitting is coupled into the patient and then, while the fitting and its coupled end of the catheter are within the patient, inserts the internal bolster over the fitting until it snap-fits into place over the waist portion, thereby internally anchoring the catheter within the patient.

摘要: An external bolster for a medical catheter, the external bolster comprising an integral strain relief member for diminishing the effect of an externally-directed force applied to the medical catheter. In a preferred embodiment, the external bolster is a flexible, unitary member comprising a lower portion and an upper portion. The lower portion comprises an annular base, the base having a top surface, a bottom surface and a central opening. A plurality of spaced apart feet extend downwardly from the bottom surface of the base. A sleeve extends upwardly from the top surface of the base in alignment with the central opening, the sleeve and the central opening jointly defining a bore of uniform cross-section. The upper portion comprises an elbow-shaped tubular member having a vertical portion, a horizontal portion and a longitudinal lumen. The vertical portion of the tubular member is disposed on top of the sleeve, with its lumen aligned with the bore. The upper portion also includes a tether for maintaining the tubular member in a bent state, the tether having a first end secured to the horizontal portion and a second end secured to the vertical portion.

摘要: A method for positioning a guide element in a patient and a kit for use in the method. In one embodiment, the method involves transorally inserting an endoscope into a patient's stomach. An incision site is externally indicated by transilluminating the stomach and abdominal walls of the patient from within the stomach. Next, a scalpel incision is made at the indicated incision site, and an access needle is inserted into the incision, the proximal end of the access needle remaining external to the patient and the distal end of the access needle extending into the patient's stomach. The stylet of the access needle is then removed from the patient while keeping the cannula in place. Next, the distal end of a grasping tool is inserted through the cannula and into the patient's stomach. The looped leading end of a pullwire is then inserted through the endoscope and into the stomach. The tool is then manipulated until a distal hook on the tool catches the looped leading end. Next, the tool and the looped leading end are withdrawn from the patient through the cannula. The endoscope is then withdrawn from the patient over the trailing end of the pullwire. In this manner, the pullwire is positioned so that the trailing end of the pullwire extends from the patient's mouth and the leading end of the pullwire extends from the incision.
