    摘要: To achieve an air bag system in which a safing determination processing circuit can be implemented on one integrated circuit, the air bag system, which is equipped with first and second sensors (101, 103) for detecting a vehicle crash, and which outputs a signal for expanding an air bag when it is determined that a vehicle crash has occurred based on the outputs of the first and second sensors, comprises: a processing unit (3) for processing an output signal of the first sensor (101) by software; and a processing circuit (2) for processing an output signal of the second sensor (103) by hardware, wherein the processing unit (3) includes a non-activation fault diagnosis section (33) which, based on the output signal of the second sensor (103), detects a failure that can lead to non-activation of the air bag, and the processing circuit (2) includes an erroneous-activation fault diagnosis section (240) which, based on the output signal of the second sensor (103), detects a failure that can lead to erroneous activation of the air bag.

    摘要: A laser module includes a substrate 1, a first laser element 2 placed on the substrate 1, a second laser element 3 placed with an output surface opposed to the first laser element 2 on the substrate 1, and a mirror 7 placed between the first laser element 2 and the second laser element 3. The mirror 7 has a reflective surface capable of reflecting output light from the first laser element 2 or the second laser element 3 in a predetermined direction, and is placed so as to move or rotate between a first position capable of reflecting the output light from the first laser element 2 and a second position capable of reflecting the output light from the second laser element 3. Thus, a laser module can be provided in which high precision, low cost, and miniaturization can be realized.

    摘要: A nonmagnetic powder, used for the nonmagnetic layer of a coated type magnetic recording medium having a multilayer structure, has good dispersibility in the binder in which it is dispersed to prepare a coating material that is applied to the nonmagnetic layer. The nonmagnetic powder has an iron compound as its principal component and exhibits a maximum pore volume value in a pore diameter range of 0.01 μm to 0.05 μm within a pore diameter range of 0.0018 μm to 0.1 μm in which the relationship between pore diameter and pore volume is calculated by a mercury injection method. The nonmagnetic powder exhibits a cumulative pore volume value in a pore diameter range of 0.0018 μm to 0.01 μm that is not more than 30% of the cumulative pore volume value in the pore diameter range of 0.0018 μm to 0.1 μm.

In this way accumulated heat in the HDD or the metal outer casing is radiated from the metal outer casing or the cover.
