The portable measuring system also includes a tunable light source, an output intensity detector and an output wavelength detector, which are mounted therein. The portable measuring system can precisely measure a variation in the reflectivity spectrum and/or the transmittance spectrum of the biophotonic sensor before and after an antigen-antibody reaction by varying the wavelength of the tunable light source. A method of manufacturing an ultrasonic welding-based microfluidic device, the method including: forming a bottom board having two welding stoppers formed right and left and having a certain height and a certain interval; forming a top board having two energy directors formed with an interval greater than the interval between the two welding stoppers; putting the top board on the bottom board to locate the energy directors at the outside of welding stoppers, respectively; and welding the top board to the bottom board by using ultrasonic welding, wherein a channel is formed between the two welding stoppers without additional energy directors. Accordingly, it is possible to prevent a phenomenon that a fluid irregularly flows due to an uneven surface formed on a side of the channel while the energy directors are melted.

Provided are a method and apparatus for detecting bio-complexes that are important sub protein interaction networks using a rule-based template in large interaction networks present in a single species. The method includes (a) defining a rule-based template corresponding to a bio-complex to be detected by defining a node that consists of at least one protein, a triplet that consists of two defined nodes and a protein interaction relationship therebetween, and single and composite rules using the triplet and an operator; (b) analyzing the rules of the defined rule-based template by analyzing whether the protein corresponding to the node included in the defined rule-based template and the protein interaction relationship corresponding to the triplet are present in a protein interaction network; and (c) detecting a bio-complex in the protein interaction network by assessing the triplet included in the rules analyzed and the node included in the triplet using a protein interaction relationship and protein of the protein interaction networks.

The present invention relates to a portable digital reader for reading an analysis target chip including a plurality of test areas. The reader comprises: a light emitting section having light emitting elements for radiating light; an integral optical splitter for uniformly distributing the light from the light emitting section to each test area of the analysis target chip; a light receiving section for receiving light reflected from each test area so as to convert the same into electric signals; and a measuring section for measuring concentration according to the electric signals obtained from the light receiving section. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the generation of errors in signal measurement due to optical distribution failure by assembling branch sections of the optical splitter under the control of the number of the branch sections according to the number of test items in a test strip.

Provided are a biochip and a method of detecting a reaction from the biochip. This method includes preparing a first mixture solution of polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) and a sample including target molecules, measuring absorbance or transmittance of the first mixture solution, preparing a second mixture solution including the PVP, the sample, and a receptor of the target molecules, measuring absorbance or transmittance of the second mixture solution, and calculating an absorbance or transmittance difference between the first mixture solution and the second mixture solution. Thus, it is possible to reduce the production cost of the biochip by inducing a reaction of an antigen and an antibody using PVP. Further, it is possible to detect an accurate quantity of the antigen by analyzing a quantity of antigen on the basis of the absorbance or transmittance difference.
